Sundance 2017 proved a huge success yet again. This year a number of impressive entries from a broad array of categories caught our attention, including Wind River, The Discovery, I Am Not Your Negro, Mudbound, and the outlandish comedy Wilson with Woody Harrelson and Laura Dern. Alden Ehrenreich To Star As Young Han Solo in New Spin-Off Installment

According to Deadline, actor Alden Ehrenreich (Blue Jasmine, Hail Caesar!) has officially signed on to star as young Captain Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars spin-off from Walt Disney Pictures. Ehrenreich beat out a number of A-list names for the role, including Miles Teller, Dave Franco, Jack Reynor, Scott Eastwood, and Emory Cohen. As with all upcoming releases from Disney/Lucasfilm, no actual details have been released on the plot, and no news about supporting cast members is yet available. The script will be written by Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan and his son Jon Kasdan (In the Land of Women, The First Time). Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (21 Jump Street, The Lego Movie) are expected to direct the feature. We’ll be bringing you further news as it emerges. Next Installation in ‘Divergent’ Series Opening In Theaters March 20th


The next installation in the Divergent series, Insurgent, will be opening in theaters this March 20th. Starring Shailene Woodley (The Fault in our Stars, Snowden), Theo James (The In-betweeners Movie, Underworld:Awakening), Miles Teller (That Awkward Moment, Whiplash), Ansel Elgort (Carrie, Men Women & Children), Naomi Watts (King Kong, The Ring), Kate Winslet (Titanic, The Life of David Gale), and Jai Courtney (A Good Day To Die Hard, Unbroken), the story continues to follow the character of Beatrice Prior as she endures in her struggle against the alliance and the warring factions that threatens to destroy the whole society in their plot to wipe-out the divergents. The films are based on the novel-series by author Veronica Roth, but this time out the book was adapted by screenwriters Brian Duffield, Akiva Goldsman, and Mark Bomback. Director Robert Schwentke (Flightplan, The Time Traveler’s Wife) took over on this installment for Divergent director Neil Burger. Check out the trailer here on MADE.
