With 2015 marking Jordan Brand’s 30th anniversary, the brand has been quick to turn back to one of their biggest themes, Space Jam. The original “Space Jam” XIs are still held on a pedestal as one of JB’s best releases, so it’s no surprise that they’ve decided to drop kicks for some of the movie’s notable characters. Earlier this year they released the “Lola Bunny” VIIs and now it appears that they’ll be releasing a pair of kicks inspired by Marvin The Martian. Black leather all over with light accents of Marvin’s signature colors, an odd pair of kicks but one that will surely have sneakerheads lining up. These will retail for $190 and they are due for an August release, check back for an official release date.

Jordan Brand continues it’s recent onslaught with yet another release announcement. Like their name aptly reads, the above Air Jordan 7 “Barcelona Days” are inspired by the Spanish city that played host to the ’92 Olympics. A coming out year for the “Dream Team”, the ’92 Olympics is remembered as arguably our greatest men’s basketball team ever. Clean with a splash of summer color, the “Barcelona Days” will retail for $190 and are slated to hit shelves this Saturday, April 25th.

These are definitely high on any collector’s list, so if you plan to cop you should get your game plan set soon. The 30th Anniversary 7s should already be at retailers for $190, click the link below for more information.

As the year of Infrared ends, Jordan brand might have plans to switch things up going into 2015. A few weeks ago, they provided the release date for the above Air Jordan VII “French Blues”, which will fall under the brands newly formed “remastered” division. This basically means that the shoe will be exactly the same as it’s original (OG) version with premium materials, with that also comes a slightly higher price tag. No word on the retail, but these are expected to hit shelves today, good luck.

Filming Wraps Up On Upcoming ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’

Filming has just wrapped up on the upcoming Star Wars sequel from director J.J. Abrams, and the director will now be moving the project into the post-production period as he spends his days working with editors Maryann Brandon (Star Trek: Into Darkness, Super 8) and Mary Jo Markey (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Star Trek: Into Darkness) as well as the visual effects department before the film is ready for theatrical release. Disney has already confirmed a release date of December 18, 2015, so the director still has time to get the film all wrapped up, but fans are definitely getting anxious, and talk of a trailer being released before the year is out is already getting around twitter, but for now everybody needs to be patient. Filming did just wrap up, but I guess Abrams could throw together a short teaser for audiences to see in the Christmas releases. We’ll keep an eye out for it if it happens!

GoodKarmaNiles – VII

GoodKarmaNiles recently took to Twitter to drop a new track titled “VII”. Produced by AMATI of BLVCK SPVCE, Niles keeps things in-house with this high energy record. It’s been awhile since we’ve heard Niles solo, but between BLVCK SPVCE and Create Karma the man’s been awfully busy. Peep “VII” above and make sure to keep an eye out for more from GoodKarmaNiles and BLVCK SPVCE.

Disney Hires Rian Johnson To Write And Direct The Next ‘Star Wars’ Installment

With production underway on Star Wars: Episode VII (which is still scheduled for release in December 2015 despite Harrison Ford’s leg injury on the set) Disney is moving forward with their plans for future projects in the Star Wars series. Recent news has director Rian Johnson now set to direct Star Wars: Episode VIII, which will also receive some input from Johnson for the script and keep him on to write Episdoe IX, but Disney’s not stopping there. Godzilla director Gareth Edwards has also been hired to direct a spin-off that will be released in 2016 and could follow any number of characters that have appeared in the Star Wars universe, with a second spin-off from director Josh Trank coming out sometime after that, and maybe even before Episode VIII hits theaters. This means that J.J. Abrams will not be returning for the additional installments, which sucks for him because Star Trek 3 has already found a replacement director in Robert Orci. Oh well, it’s all part of the game I suppose. Stay tuned.
