The Minnesota State Fair is underway, this year’s offerings of live entertainment and new foods will not disappoint. Among the many smaller stages throughout the fairgrounds, the Grandstand will feature headliners like Nickelback, Stevie Nicks, Usher, Jim Gaffigan, Phantogram, and Toby Keith on any given night. Sure there will be the classics like Sweet Martha’s cookies, turkey legs, and just about everything on a stick, but you’d be a fool to overlook the newcomers. Some of which include, Dino’s Gyro’s “Honey Puffs,” balls of fried dough dipped in sweet syrup and tossed in cinnamon and sugar, Giggles’ Campfire Grill’s “Duck Bacon Wontons,” or Snack House’s “Memphis Totchos,” sliced banana and sautéed bacon over tater tots, topped with peanut sauce.
