Red Cow North Loop

Red Cow

Location: 208 N 1st Avenue, Minneapolis
Hours: Mon-Fri: 11AM-1AM, Sat-Sun: 9AM-1AM

Decent burger joints are not dime a dozen. Sure, you can grab any old burger just about anywhere, but a quality patty with quality ingredients surrounding it isn’t always the easiest find. Over the last few years, Red Cow restaurants have began to make their mark in neighborhoods across the Twin Cities, one visit and you’ll understand exactly why. At their downtown location, rustic meets trendy decor envelops the dining room, kind of awkward at first; but really easy to get passed, especially when the food arrives. The proscuitto topped Barcelona and the bacon filled 60/40 are my favorites, but the Ahi Tuna and Vegey burgers are great, healthier options. The restaurant walks a tight wire, the dining room is perfect for date night, while the not so far bar doubles as a solid back drop for a few early drinks with friends. I can only imagine this location becoming even more crowded as the North Loop and Saint Anthony Main neighborhoods continue into full scale gentrification, but you can bet they will ALL be fed well. Cost comes with quality and location, this is not your $5 corner burger joint, but I assure you that your $12 will not be spent in vain. The Glo-Op

If you’ve never been far from the Twin Cities, you might find it surprising that our fashion scene is actually one of the most influential in the country. Sure, we’re nothing like the powerhouses of NYC, LA, or Chicago, but our street wear scene has been on the upswing for quite some time. The fact that our thrift community is so strong inflames a movement that would usually start and stop with the local brands, this is what separates the Twin Cities. Local shops are popping up with hand made garments, vintage pieces, and quality items at great prices. One of which is The Glo-Op, currently operating via Etsy or by appointment, the shop has really started to garner a lot of attention. They offer a wide variety of vintage clothing, most of which are unisex, however inventory is limited so when you see something you like, you better grab it. Check out a few pics above and click the link below for a more comprehensive look at what they have to offer.

Energe – Options

Chicago artist Energe recently released another new track for his growing fan base, titled “Options.” Produced by Hardii, the up beat, dynamic instrumental allows for Energe to show off all of his strengths. As the beat transitions, Energe switches up his flows and cadences with ease delivering unwavering vocals. Another solid release from an artist who should definitely be on your radar. Check out “Options” above and stay tuned for more from Energe.

Minneapolis’ art scene is collectively growing across a lot of different mediums. The music scene is burgeoning, and fashion in the Twin Cities looks like it might be heading in the same direction. One brand pushing boundaries is Pacify, their work often promotes diversity and empowerment; regularly paired with political messages. Quality, hand made pieces for very reasonable prices, Pacify’s limited collections tend to sell out quickly. Check out their web-store for your self by clicking the link below and make sure to keep an eye out for more from Pacify.
