Greg Grease recently released a new video for his track “Killer Love” from his earlier project Born to Lurk, Forced to Work. The album continues to resonate and this record is one of our favorites from the EP. Greazy goes in with his signature quick witted word play, while I.B.E provides a hook as smooth as ice. No stranger to interesting use of visual effects to enhance his videos, Grease manages to make dope videos time and time again without the extra frills so common in today’s game. A solid visual for a great track, check out the video for “Killer Love” above and stay tuned for more from Greg Grease.
The South side’s own Greg Grease recently dropped a new EP for all of our listening pleasure. Titled Motif ii, the 3 track EP is an exercise in introspection mixed with stark social commentary. Grease continues to drop quality over quantity, a true wordsmith in a world where that word is used way too much. Motif ii breezes by in under 10 minutes, the replay value on this one is through the roof. Hopefully this is just a glimpse at what’s to come in the near future, until then, check out Greg Grease’s Motif ii EP above.

Tonight Greg Grease will be performing at Icehouse, so it’s only right that we post his latest visual. First heard on Born to Lurk Forced to Work, Greazy’s “Work Song” is an exercise in diligent word play. The Southside MC fires off heavy handed metaphors and quick witted bars with substance that often goes deeper than the surface meaning. Greg Grease continues to churn out quality music, he’s clearly one of the Twin Cities’ best. Simple yet powerful, the visual that accompanies suits the record perfectly, a very solid body of work. Check out the video for “Work Song” above and make sure to get down to Icehouse tonight (FREE) for what should be a great night.
With the release party for Greg Grease’s new project, Born To Lurk, Forced To Work, slated for this Friday; it’s only right that we show love where it’s due. In all honesty, I didn’t even know this was out and am VERY happy to have it in my rotation. Greazy takes another step forward with this album, Born To Lurk, Forced To Work is 16 tracks of well orchestrated wizardy. The project features an all-star cast of MCs including P.O.S, IBE, Mike The Martyr, Tall Paul, Alicia Steele, AK Rite, Proper T, and Fresh Daily, although many appear on the same songs. From “RIP Van Winkle” to “SunShowers”, Greg Grease has built yet another solid album from the ground up. Check out Born To Lurk, Forced To Work above and be on the look out for more from Greg Grease.

Yesterday, Metasota and Sound Verite Records dropped some newness with “Mushed Rooms”. The newly released track is featured on SVR’s compilation tape New Space:Moon Rock Vol.1, which showcases a nice window of what Minneapolis music has to offer. After listening to “Mushed Rooms”, it had us throwing it on repeat to catch every last word, as the erie beat rides steady. It appears that it is that time of the year again, as more and more legitimate music lands onto our computers and into our eardrums. Press play and Enjo¡
