Nike SB Dunk Low “Bigfoot”

Nike SB is planning to kick 2016 off with a bang, they recently announced the release of a new dunk low dubbed the “Bigfoot.” One look at the shoe proves the name is no fluke, brown suede sits atop a tan sole (not an actual gum sole) making for a safe, but clean colorway. Not too many concrete details regarding these, but word around town is these can be expected on shelves in mid-January.

Nike SB and legendary Michigan skate shop Premier will once again link up on a pair of Nike kicks set to release this weekend. No stranger to Nike collabs, Premier skate shop is easily among the nations best. Their most recent collaboration commemorates Fish Ladder Park and the rigorous journey that salmon must take to reproduce. The kicks feature the now classic salmon steak print on the toe and even a scaley looking swoosh, clean yet flashy at the same damn time. The dunk lows will retail for $100 while the Janoski Max versions will retail for $110, these will be available via Premier starting on Saturday, November 14th. Undefeated and Nike surprised everyone this week with the announcement that they’ll be releasing yet another Dunk collaboration. No real information was given about the release in advance and there still is no official U.S. release date set either. For those looking to cop you’ll have to head to overseas purveyors like Solebox or Titolo. These have just the right amount of retro touch keeping them clean. At €160 ($175), the Undefeated x Nike Dunk Lux will go on sale November 5th at select retailers like those mentioned above.

Nike SB has cooled off quite a bit since the beginning of 2015 but it appears they still have a few releases in the vaults. Their latest drop comes in the form of an all blue SB Dunk low, a homage to Arrested Development’s Tobias Fünke. For those who don’t know, the character Tobias had an obsession with painting his entire body blue (various situations) after going to a Blue Man Group concert. The Nike owned, Boston based Converse has released a new pair of kicks just in time for the winter. They’ve re-done their signature Chuck Taylor All-Star with quilted leather providing extra protection against the elements. The 2015 “Quilt” pack comes in a variety of low & hi versions with colors like “casino” red and “Nighttime Navy” making appearances. PUMA recently released a pair of new color ways utilizing their iconic “States” silhouette. The above “GORE-TEX” infused kicks come in burgundy and black, both of which feature gum bottoms. The “GORE-TEX” upper will provide that extra layer of protection against the approaching elements. Last week they decided to drop an all white Dunk Low dubbed the “Arctic Camo.” White canvas a top a gum sole makes for a pretty clean pair of kicks that can be rocked with just about anything, if you’re wondering about the “Arctic Camo”, the pattern is subtly hidden in the shoe’s inner panels. This time around the Air Jordan 5 will see a release in an all new color way, the “Hornets.” No doubt paying homage to the team that Michael Jordan now owns, these kicks are already surrounded by a ton of hype. Clean with a tiny bit of flash, the Retro “Hornets” are set to retail for $190 on May 2nd.

Jordan Brand continues it’s recent onslaught with yet another release announcement. Like their name aptly reads, the above Air Jordan 7 “Barcelona Days” are inspired by the Spanish city that played host to the ’92 Olympics. A coming out year for the “Dream Team”, the ’92 Olympics is remembered as arguably our greatest men’s basketball team ever. Clean with a splash of summer color, the “Barcelona Days” will retail for $190 and are slated to hit shelves this Saturday, April 25th.
