Hockey Skateboards recently released their debut skate video for everyone’s viewing pleasure. This video feels like the videos from the golden age 90s era, no background music, no frills and more than a few hard slams. A solid clip filled with tons of technical tricks, this video left me eager to see more from the emerging skate brand. Check out the visual above and be on the look out for more from Hockey.
Last time we heard from the Adidas skate team, they were shredding the American northwest in preparation for 2014. Now it appears the crew has linked up with Juice Designs for yet another video, this time in Berlin, Germany. Nike SB has made a surprise drop with the release of the Nike SB Dunk Low Pro “Brickhouse” seen above. The kicks come equipped with premium materials including brick colored suede and faux snakeskin, they also sport turbo green ostrich leather for the swoosh and back panels. The good guys at Volcom have released the trailer for their highly anticipated video “True To This” which pays homage to their reign as one of the Skate worlds most dominant and respected brands. Releasing 20 years after their classic “Alive We Ride”, True To This is meant to capture the essence and influence that Volcom has had on the board sports. The official full length video is set to be premiered on October 5th in Paris, France; stay tuned for more info as we get closer to the premier date.
The guys over at Vans continue their world tour with this latest installment, featuring London’s legendary Southbank skate park; the guys at Vans prove once again why they’re at the top of the skate scene. Take a look at the video above and keep an eye out for Chima Ferguson doing his thing.
The apple must have fallen right under the tree because Sean Malto has been living up to his fathers’ (Eric Koston) name ever since he hit the skate scene a few years back. Last year the guys at Girl released their team skate video “Pretty Sweat” and Sean Malto absolutely destroyed his part. In honor of Girl’s 20th year and Ed Banger Records’ 10th, the companies have teamed up on a board series and have remixed Sean’s part with a mash up of Justice’s “BrianVision MMXIII” & Mr. Oizo’s “Secam”. Check it out and keep an eye out for those boards next month.
Philly native and legendary skater Stevie Williams is preparing to launch his latest clothing brand in the form of Asphalt Yacht Club. The line up includes Stevie, Stefan Janoski, Nyjah Huston, Derrick Wilson, Riley Hawk (Yes Tony’s son) and Justin Figueroa among others; making for a team to be reckoned with. I’m not so sure about the name, but if the guys continue skating the way they are in the video; i guess the sky’s the limit. Asphalt Yacht Club is set to debut on the 15th of August so keep an eye out for a full look book soon.
