As Vic Mensa Day draws closer to it’s end, we’d like to display another video of Vic murdering the mic. Back at the tail end of 2013, Vic was on his TV run and decided to hit up 106 & Park’s Backroom; the above slaughtering ensued. Peep the video above and keep an eye out for a few more before midnight.
Just like Minneapolis, Chicago’s music scene is currently on fire; with an abundance of artists and crews coming out of the woodwork. Since the explosion of Chance The Rapper’s career, Chicago’s Save Money crew has seen a huge bump in exposure. Since then, many of the other, lesser known members have begun getting their due shine. The track below features Joey Purp & Kami De Chukwu on the verses, but the visual features cameos from Vic Mensa, Dally Auston, Tokyo Shawn & Chance as well. After a gun-point robbery caused the video shoot to be cancelled, the finished product is finally here; check it out below.
Last Friday, Vic Mensa & Tokyo Shawn of Save Money stopped by Sway in The Morning with Mibbs of Pac Div for a little freestyle session. Sway lets the artists go all the way in over multiple beats, Mibbs & Tokyo do their thing; but Vic Mensa clearly spits at a higher level. Peep the video above and stay tuned for more.

Save Money’s own Alex Wiley will be live at Chicago’s Reggie’s Rock Club tonight. Alex released his debut mixtape entitled “Club Wiley” awhile back, surprising many people by the shear amount of dopeness it contained. We imagine that this show will mark the beginning of the campaign for his second project, tickets are $10 and the show will be all ages (Wiley’s only 19 himself). No word on any other artists performing, just a cryptic “Special Guests” line which could mean just about anyone. Stay tuned for more as 2014 starts rolling.
This video from Vic Mensa was released back in late September and received a lot of attention. While it was posted a while back, we figured it deserves some more recognition. Vic continues to gain more than a buzz as his fan base continues to grow from his music, yet some have somehow slept on his latest album, “INNANETAPE“. With all the wintery snow, we feel the song has a new meaning for a Lovely Day. Peep the video and check out more of Vic’s music here.

Vic Mensa is still riding the wave of success from his latest project the “Innanet tape”. He recently took over MTV’s Rapfix with A$AP Rocky & Bun B, blowing everyone away with a top notch freestyle; and now he has announced a headlining show at Chicago’s Reggie’s Rock Club. The show will also feature performances from Jean Deaux and The Hood Internet with special guests also supposed to take the stage. This should definitely be a good one, the Save Money crew is probably the hottest collective of artists in Chicago/ the Midwest right now. The show is all ages and tickets are only $10 bucks so if you’re in the CHI on December 7th you should definitely hit this one up.
Vic Mensa has been thoroughly enjoying the success of his highly acclaimed project the “INNANETAPE”, since it’s release he has hooked up with Adidas, the guys at ILLRoots, Sway & now Closed Sessions; for a video detailing the INNANETAPES creative birth.
