Director Baltasar Kormakur (Contraband, 2 Guns) will see his latest drama titled Everest open on big screens across the country this September 25th. Working from a screenplay by Oscar-nominee William Nicholson (Gladiator, Les Miserables) and Oscar-winner Simon Beaufoy (The Full Monty, Slumdog Millionaire), the film follows an expedition to the top of Mount Everest that quickly becomes a nail-biting fight for survival when a snow storm hits the mountain. Starring in the film are actors Jason Clarke (Lawless, Terminator: Genisys), Josh Brolin (Men in Black 3, No Country For Old Men), John Hawkes (American Gangster, Lincoln), Robin Wright (Forrest Gump, House of Cards), Emily Watson (Red Dragon, War Horse), Keira Knightly (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Imitation Game), Sam Worthington (Avatar, Terminator Salvation), and Jake Gyllenhaal (October Sky, Prisoners). ‘Terminator 5’ Wraps Up Filming With New Title Provided By Star Arnold Schwarzenegger

genesis

We have been waiting to hear some updated news about the next installment of the Terminator series that will feature original star Arnold Schwarzenegger as everybody‚Äôs favorite killing machine! No official details have been revealed about the plot, but we now know (via a tweet from Schwarzenegger) that the new film’s title is Terminator: Genesis. The film has just completed shooting and is now in the post-production stage, with a release date set for July 1st of next year. The movie is directed by Alan Taylor (Rubicon, Boardwalk Empire) and features new cast members Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) as Sarah Connor, Jai Courtney (A Good Day To Die Hard, Divergent) as Kyle Reese, and Jason Clarke (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Zero Dark Thirty) as John Connor. The last installment in the series was Terminator: Salvation (2009) with Christian Bale, which saw John Connor, the leader of the human resistance against the Skynet machines, leading his band of rebels in 2018, before the events of the original film took place. Some theories have been circling around Hollywood that the new film will feature a time-travel scenario that will result in a whole new story running parallel to the story in the original film from writer/director James Cameron; sort of like Back to the Future Part 2 where Marty has to avoid running into himself in 1955 because he was already there in the first film. Whatever the case, it should turn out to be an entertaining watch. Schwarzenegger was last seen as the Skynet cyborg in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines in 2003, so it will be great to see him on the screen again in his most famous role! Stay tuned for more updates.
