Here we have a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Oliver Stone (The Doors, Born on the Fourth of July) biopic on NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden. The film is appropriately (and simply) titled Snowden and stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception, The Dark Knight Rises) in the title role. While production has been underway for on the project for sometime, one would expect to see at least a 10-second clip of actual footage, but with this teaser all you really get are some words outlining highlights of Snowden’s life and a clever phrase to top-off the 86-second clip (even though “One Nation, Under Surveillance” is pretty clever considering the subject matter). Also starring in the film are actors Shailene Woodley (The Fault in Our Stars, Divergent), Melissa Leo (The Fighter, Prisoners), Zachary Quinto (24, Star Trek: Into Darkness), Tom Wilkinson (The Patriot, Rush Hour), Rhys Ifans (Anonymous, The Amazing Spider Man), and Nicholas Cage (Con-Air, National Treasure). The movie is scheduled to open in theaters on Christmas Day, right alongside Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight. We’ll keep an eye out for additional trailers as they come out. Stay tuned!
With the release date for the upcoming Entourage movie quickly approaching, fans will definitely want to watch the new trailer. The movie will bring back stars Adrian Grenier (A.I., Hart’s War), Kevin Connolly (John Q, The Notebook), Jeremy Piven (Old School, Smokin’ Aces), Jerry Ferrara (Think Like A Man, Lone Survivor), and Kevin Dillon (Platoon, The Doors) as Vince, Eric, Ari, Turtle, and Drama, plus a whole ensemble of supporting cast members, including series producer Mark Wahlberg (Four Brothers, The Departed), Jessica Alba (Fantastic Four, Awake), Debi Mazar (Goodfellas, Batman Forever), David Spade (Tommy Boy, Joe Dirt), Bob Saget (Full House, America’s Funniest Home Videos), Armie Hammer (The Social Network, The Lone Ranger), Billy Bob Thornton (Armageddon, Monster’s Ball), Gary Busey (Lethal Weapon, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas), and series regular Rhys Coiro (The Unborn, Straw Dogs) as outspoken independent-director Billy Walsh. Picking up 15 years after the show first began, Ari is now the head of the studio and recruits Vincent to star in his first picture, but Vince wanting to direct the film, plus a whole new series of flings and E and Sloan’s (Emmanuelle Chriqui) new baby bring about a whole new series of obstacles the entourage must overcome to stay on top. The film is written and directed by series creator Doug Ellin (The Waiter, Phat Beach) and is released by Warner Bros. in partnership with HBO. Enjoy!
After almost five years of delays and postponements, a film adaptation of the HBO series Entourage is finally underway and shooting began earlier this week in Los Angeles with Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferarra and Jeremy Pivon reuniting in their respective roles. The script was written and is being directed by Doug Ellen, who originally created the series, and picks up several years after the series ended, with Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) shooting an adaptation of Dracula. The film has Billy Bob Thornton joining the cast as the Dracula financier, whose son, played by Haley Joel Osment, is sent to LA to oversee the project. Series producer Mark Wahlberg will be joining Ellen for the film’s production responsibilities, along with Stephen Levinson and Wayne Carmona. Supporting cast members also returning for the film include Emmanuelle Chriqui (Sloan), Rhys Coiro (Billy Walsh), Rex Lee (Ari’s assistant Lloyd), Perrey Reeves (Ari’s wife), and Debi Mazar (Vince’s publicist). Stay tuned for more news.
