Buckfest is back! This year the festivities will go down at The Cabooze with deM atlaS and Psymun set to headline the event. The lineup features a lengthy list of artists from across the Twin Cities including Digital Friends, Micro Penis, Early Eyes, CRAM, and Lux + Longely among others. The guys from So Cold Records are sponsoring the event, so who knows who else will take the stage throughout the night. Aphotic (Late Night Art-A-Whirl at PF)

When: Saturday, May 20th @ 9PM

Art-A-Whirl weekend is nearly upon us and the festivities are looking as good, if not better than any previous year. The people from Public Functionary and CMND + CTRL, will join forces for “Aphotic,” a late night party that will include live production, artwork, and DJ sets. Psymun and Devata Daun will both show off their live production skills while DJ Just Nine, DJ Frank Castle, and Ms. Lakesha provide DJ sets. Show Me The Body x Greenroom Zine Release

Tonight, Greenroom Magazine and Show Me The Body will celebrate the release of their zine at the Greenhouse. The event will also feature music from Dreamcrushers and Psymun, as well as a few guests. 2015 Totally Gross National Party

Totally Gross National Product will once again host their annual “Totally Gross National Party” outside Icehouse next Saturday. The local label has been known to bring a good party especially with their recent involvement in Red Bull’s Sound Select showcases. Last year’s event was tons of fun and this year’s looks no different with performances from Polica, Jason Feathers, RONiiA, Psymun and many, many more. Pretty sure this one is all ages and tickets are available for $18 in advance ($20 @ door). Icehouse will be providing food and beverages as well as the good people over at PBR. The good people over at Nike SB & Familia Skateshop have sponsored this year’s, “The Fucking Best Show Ever”, curated by P.O.S & Greenroom Magazine. Just like last year, “The Fucking Best Show Ever” looks to live up to it’s name with a lineup that might be one of the year’s best. The event will feature performances from P.O.S, Big Freedia, HO9909, Marijuana Deathsquads, Saba, Psymun, and Denitia & Sene as well as DJ sets from DJ Tiiiiiiiiiip and Ander Other. Chester Watson LIVE @ Kitty Cat Klub w/ K. Raydio & Psymun

The kid Chester Watson will be in town in a few days for a show at Kitty Cat Klub. The Florida artist will be joined by Psymun, K.Raydio and Art Vandelay, rounding out what should be a good time. Most of these artists are acquainted with each other in one way or another, so you can expect a good amount of chemistry and mixed sets. This one’s 21+ and tickets will be $10 at the door, Kitty Cat Klub is a pretty cool venue so you should definitely drop in if you don’t have anything planned.

Chester Watson – Trident (Video)


Chester Watson recently dropped a new video for his track, “Trident”. The young MC is definitely on the up and up, a frequenter of Psymun beats; Chester has an odd link to Minneapolis. His sound is unique, but familiar; and not far from that “Golden Era” sound that the Twin Cities has prided itself on. The night time visual meshes perfectly with the song’s dark tones, Chester even pulls off an equally chill tre’ flip at 0:23.
