New Tina Fey Comedy ‘Whiskey Tango Foxtrot’ Opening In Theaters This Friday

A new wartime comedy starring Tina Fey (30 Rock, Sisters) and Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street, Focus) titled Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is opening in theaters this Friday, March 4th. The film is an adaptation of author Kim Barker’s novel The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan, about a journalist during her time reporting in the war-ridden Middle East. Screenwriter Robert Carlock (Friends, Saturday Night Live) adapted the book for directing partners Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (I Love You Phillip Morris, Crazy Stupid Love). Co-starring in the film are actors Martin Freeman (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Hot Fuzz), Alfred Molina (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Arc, Spider-Man 2), Christopher Abbott (Martha Marcy May Marlene, A Most Violent Year), and Billy Bob Thornton (Monster’s Ball, Armageddon). This one first seemed like a pretty strange comedy for Tina Fey to take on, but judging from the latest trailer, it does look like a pretty promising piece of screenwriting, so I guess we’ll just have to see this weekend. The trailer is available here on MADE. Enjoy!

‘Focus’ With Will Smith And Margot Robbie Opens This February 27th

This weekend will see veteran-actor Will Smith (Men In Black, Independence Day) back on the big screen opposite Wolf of Wall Street-breakout star Margot Robbie in their new con-man-comedy/drama Focus. The film comes from writing/directing duo Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (Crazy, Stupid, Love., I Love You Phillip Morris) about con-man Nick whose new gig is thrown into chaos by the appearance of an old fling. Making up the supporting cast are Gerald McRaney (Jerico, House of Cards), DB Wong (Jurassic Park, Men of War), and Rodrigo Santoro (Love Actually, 300). You can see the trailer here on MADE, The movie opens in theaters this Friday, February 27th.

Will Smith And Margot Robbie Will Co-Star In ‘Focus’ Next Month

Margot Robbie was an immediate star the minute she hit the screen in Martin Scorsese‘s 2013 hit The Wolf of Wall Street, and now the young actress will be seen opposite Oscar-nominee Will Smith in next month’s comedy-thriller Focus. The film comes from writing and directing duo Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (I Love You Phillip Morris, Crazy Stupid Love) and follows Margot as Jess Barrett, a young woman who becomes the student of con-man Nicky (Smith), but things take a complete turn when the two become romantically involved and emotions start to interfere with business. Actors Rodrigo Santoro (Love Actually, 300) and Gerald McRaney (The Never Ending Story, House of Cards) also star in the film. You’ve probably noticed some TV-shorts going on, but the full trailer is here on MADE. Look for it in theaters February 27th.
