New Teaser Trailer Available For Nacho Vigolando’s ‘Colossal’ with Anne Hathaway

A new teaser trailer is available for Nacho Vigolando‘s Colossal with Anne Hathawy (The Dark Knight Rises, Interstellar). The film is currently playing at the Sundance Film Festival and is slated for a domestic release this April 7th. Colossal is a comedic action-thriller with an interesting concept. It follows Gloria, a New Yorker forced to move back to small town America after her boyfriend throws her out for her eccentric party-every-night lifestyle. Upon moving home, Gloria gets a job working at the local bar and continues her excessive drinking, until one morning she wakes up and discovers (in a state of disbelief) that Seoul, South Korea had been terrorized by a giant, Godzilla-like monster the night before. As the phenomenon progresses, she slowly comes to suspect a strange link between herself and the Korean-terrorizing monster.

Strange? Corny? Yes. Hilarious? Yes. Worth seeing? Judging even by the short teaser trailer, definitely! Spanish filmmaker Nacho Vigolando (Timecrimes, Extraterrestrial) wrote and directed the film, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. The cast includes Dan Stevens (A Walk Among the Tombstones, Beauty and the Beast), Jason Sudeikis (Horrible Bosses, We’re the Millers), Tim Blake Nelson (Oh Brother Where Art Thou?, Lincoln), Austin Stowell (Whiplash, Bridge of Spies), Rukiya Bernard (Supernatural, Accidental Obsession), and Agam Darshi (2012, Sanctuary). Check back for additional trailers, and remember this one hits theaters on April 7th!

New Coen Brothers Comedy ‘Hail Caesar!’ Opening In Theaters February 5th

The Coen Brothers are finally back on the big screen with a new comedy titled Hail Caesar!. Starring Scarlett Johansson (The Avengers, Iron Man 2), Channing Tatum (21 Jump Street, Foxcatcher), Ralph Fiennes (The Constant Gardener, Spectre), Jonah Hill (The Wolf of Wall Street, Moneyball) and Coen regulars Tilda Swinton (Burn After Reading, The Grand Budapest Hotel), Josh Brolin (No Country For Old Men, Men In Black 3), and George Clooney (Oh Brother Where Art Thou?, Ocean’s Eleven), the film follows a Hollywood ‘fixer’ who works for Capital Records in the 1950s and must deal with the disappearance of the studio’s biggest star before an upcoming release is ruined by the schemers behind the kidnapping. The film was co-written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen (in their usual fashion), and will be their first project together since 2013’s Oscar-nominated drama Inside Llewyn Davis with Oscar Isaac (A Most Violent Year, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and Carey Mulligan (Drive, The Great Gatsby), although they have written several films since then, including director Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken and Steven Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies. The trailer for Hail Caesar! is available here on MADE. Look for it in theaters this February 5th.

New Full Length Trailer For ‘Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Now Available

Last week fans were able to catch a sneak peak at a scene from the upcoming Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, due out in March 2016. The film is the follow up to director Zack Snyder‘s Man of Steel and the precursor to Warner Bros./DC Comics upcoming Justice League movie, which will follow the next year in 2017. Most of the supporting cast from Man of Steel will be reprising their roles, including Henry Cavill (Stardust, The Man From UNCLE) as Superman, Amy Adams (American Hustle, Big Eyes) as Lois Lane, Diane Lane (Unfaithful, Trumbo), and Michael Shannon (World Trade Center, Revolutionary Road), with newcomers Ben Affleck (Argo, The Town) as Batman, Gal Gadot (Fast Five, Furious 7), Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones, Conan the Barbarian), Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network, Zombieland), Holly Hunter (The Piano, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?), Jeremy Irons (The Man in the Iron Mask, Die Hard with a Vengeance), and Laurence Fishburne (Apocalypse Now, The Matrix) also joining the cast. The new trailer introduces the major players, including Eisenberg’s Lex Luther and a glimpse of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and also of the opposing relationship between Batman and Superman and the political storm surrounding crime in Metropolis and Gotham City. Check out the full trailer here on MADE, and as always, enjoy!

New Trailer Offers Sneak-Peak Footage For Upcoming ‘Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice’

A new trailer has just been released for director Zack Snyder‘s upcoming Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. The film will be the follow up to Snyder’s Man of Steel (2013), with Henry Cavill (Stardust, The Man from UNCLE) and Oscar-nominee Amy Adams (American Hustle, Big Eyes) reprising their roles as Superman and Lois Lane, and introducing Ben Affleck (The Town, Argo) in the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne. Honestly, it already looks terrible, but I’ll let you judge for yourself. In preparation for Warner Bros/DC Comics big screen production of Justice League, which is expected in theaters in 2017, the film will also introduce Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6, Furious 7) in the role of Wonder Woman (with an independent Wonder Woman movie also expected in theaters in 2017) and Jason Momoa (Conan the Barbarian, Bullet in the Head) in the role of Aquaman. And yes, there will be an independent Aquaman movie coming out in 2018, along with The Flash, who will be played by Ezra Miller (We Need To Talk About Kevin, The Perks of Being A Wallflower) and may be making a brief appearance in this movie. In other words, once Star Wars: The Force Awakens is out, it’s right back to milking the comic books. Also staring in the film are Oscar-nominees Diane Lane (The Perfect Storm, Unfaithful), Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road, Boardwalk Empire), Jessie Eisenberg (The Social Network, Now You See Me), and Laurence Fishburne (Apocalypse Now, The Matrix), and Oscar-winners Holly Hunter (The Piano, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?) and Jeremy Irons (Reversal of Fortune, Die Hard with a Vengeance). Oscar-winning screenwriter Chris Terrio (Heights, Argo) and David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight Rises, Man of Steel) wrote the script that finds Batman and Superman at arms with each other while a more deadly force is steadily rising and Washington is up in arms about the presence of “super-heros” in our modern society. Considering Snyder is returning, and the impressive number of Oscar-winners working on the film, it will still more than likely be a pretty good movie. I don’t know who decided to hire Ben Affleck as Batman, but let’s just try our best to look passed it. Enjoy the footage.

Steven Spielberg’s New Cold-War Drama ‘Bridge of Spies’ Opening In Theaters This Week

Finally after months of anticipation and sitting through rounds of film festivals around the globe, Oscar-winner Steven Spielberg‘s (Jaws, Saving Private Ryan) new Cold-War drama Bridge of Spies is opening on big screens across the country this week. Starring Spielberg-regular Tom Hanks (Catch Me If You Can, Forrest Gump) in the lead role, the film focuses on James B. Donovan, an attorney who was sent to Soviet Russia by the CIA in order to negotiate the release of suspected U-2 Spy Plane pilot Francis G. Powers. The script was originally penned by screenwriter Matt Charman, but was then re-worked by Oscar-winning filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen (Oh Brother Where Art Thou?, No Country For Old Men) before Spielberg began the process of principle photography. Also starring in the film are actors Mark Rylance (The Other Boleyn Girl, Anonymous), Domenick Lombardozzi (Phone Booth, The Wire), Victor Verhaeghe (August Rush, The Wolf of Wall Street), Alan Alda (MASH, The Aviator), and Amy Ryan (Gone Baby Gone, Birdman or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), with Austin Stowell (Behind the Candelabra, Whiplash) starring as Powell. The trailer is available here on MADE.

Josh Trank’s New ‘Fantastic Four’ Movie Now Playing In Theaters

Today the comic world will get the chance to redeem a classic comic film adaptation that was all but ruined with the original attempts 10 years ago with Jessica Alba and Michael Chiklis. The all new Fantastic Four film from director Josh Trank (The Kill Point, Chronicle) is now playing in theaters, and fans everywhere are in high hopes that the new film will redeem the popularity of the series after a sequel to 2007’s Rise of the Silver Surfer never made it to the big screen. Making up the new group of heros are actors Miles Teller (The Spectacular Now, Divergent), Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale Station, That Awkward Moment), Kate Mara (Iron Man 2, Transcendence), and Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot, King Kong), with Reg E. Cathey (American Psycho, House of Cards), Toby Kebbell (Wrath of the Titans, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) and Tim Blake Nelson (Oh Brother Where Art Thou?, Lincoln) joining the supporting cast. Director Trank wrote the screenplay for the new film with writers Simon Kinberg (Sherlock Holmes, X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Jeremy Slater (The Lazarus Effect), which sees the group of youngsters transported to an alternate dimension, strangely altering their physical compositions and providing them with abilities they will need to save the world from a former friend-turned-enemy after he followed them through the dimensional shift. MADE Remembers B.B. King (September 16, 1925-May 14, 2015)

bbking

This week we lost the legendary singer/songwriter and blues guitarist B.B. King, who died yesterday in Las Vegas at the age of 89. King is considered one of the greatest and most influential musicians of the 20th century, with his career spanning from the early 1950s with hits like 3 O’Clock Blues and Everyday I Have The Blues to his farewell tours that began in 2006, and everything in between. King became a big hit on the rock scene during the 1960s, even touring with groups like The Rolling Stones, and he went on to win a Grammy in 1970 for his hit song The Thrill Is Gone. He was inducted into both the Blues Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1980 and 1987, respectively, and has also made numerous film and television appearances, including a live jam session with bluesmen Eric Clapton, Bo Diddley, Isaac Hayes, Dr. John, Billy Preston, and Steve Winwood (among many others) in Blues Brothers 2000 with Dan Aykroyd (Saturday Night Live, Ghostbusters) and John Goodman (The Big Lebowski, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?). His music and his legend will be truly missed.

British Actor Mark Rylance Will Take A Role In Steven Spielberg’s Upcoming Cold War Thriller With Tom Hanks

mark

Tony-winning actor Mark Rylance (The Other Boleyn Girl, Blitz) is currently in talks to take a role in director Steven Spielberg’s next film project, a Cold War thriller that follows the real-life story of attorney James Donovan. Donovan is best known for negotiating the release of Gary Powers, a U-2 plane pilot who was imprisoned after being interrogated for espionage by the KGB. Rylance was up for the role of the Mad Hatter’s father in the upcoming sequel to Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, but he has since moved on from that project, which will once again feature Johnny Depp as the Hatter. Spielberg’s new film, which has yet to be titled, will also feature Oscar-winner Tom Hanks (Forrest Gump, Captain Phillips) in the role of Donovan, and will be his fourth collaboration with the director Spielberg. The film is expected to begin production this fall, but is currently still awaiting a script re-write from writers/directors Joel and Ethan Coen (Oh Brother Where Art Thou, True Grit), so we’ll have to wait to hear more information on this as the details emerge. Stay tuned!
