Allan Kingdom is celebrating his birthday today and what better way to celebrate than by releasing a new album for our listening pleasure. Titled Northern Lights, Allan picks up right where he left off on Future Memoirs, it’s scary to say but the kid sounds even MORE refined on this project. The 13 tracks form a very tight sounding album, mid-way through it’s evident that Allan might be the go to hook man for 2016. With success comes more headaches, on Northern Lights Kingdom brings us into his upgraded world where records with global super stars and Grammy nominations don’t seem so far fetched. More than anything else this project is yet another breathe of fresh air, just when you thought you knew what was next the Saint Paul artist delivers another surprise. Premier x Nike SB “Northern Lights”
A few weeks ago we posted leaked images of an upcoming collaboration between Nike SB and Michigan based skate shop Premier. Today, it appears the two have officially confirmed the release by offering up the official pictures and the kick’s release date. When the leaked photos dropped, most people cried “Yeezy”, but the two companies opted to name these the “Northern Lights”, paying homage to the greens and pinks/reds that can be seen during the northern hemisphere’s winters. Right on time for the seasons, these will be extremely limited and will only be available online or in-store at Premier, no price tag yet, but the date is November 22nd. Take a look at the kicks above and make sure to check back for more details later this week as they’re released.
