The Viking Bar is looking like the place to be tomorrow night. Our friends from My Parent’s Bassment recently started their “Thirsty Thursday” series over at the Viking and this week they’ve got an extra special guest. The south side’s own Drelli will be in the building for a live performance and there will be plenty of drink specials to fuel the party. This one is 21+ and FREE with a college ID, otherwise the door is only $5; make sure to stop by if you’re looking for something to do.
The My Parent’s Bassment Crew has had a GREAT 2016, from pop up shows to all night dance parties to rooftops; these guys know how to put on a good time. Their next event will go down at Seven Steakhouse in downtown Minneapolis. If you’ve never been, Seven has arguably the nicest rooftop in the Twin Cities, so you already know it’s going down. This one is 21+ and FREE, make sure to come fresh and ready to party.

As 2015 starts to wrap up, Minneapolis’ music scene continues to gain momentum at an alarming rate. Whether it’s Hippo Campus, Allan Kingdom, Finding Novyon or even next year’s Sound Set, the Twin Cities are currently buzzing. The scene has become so potent that DJs are now just as respected as their peers with a host of dance parties and mash-ups to chose from each week. DJ Low has quickly risen the ranks within the cities and now sits among the best when it comes to throwing an awesome event with awesome music. Last Saturday, My Parent’s Bassment returned with a vengeance, after a long hiatus due to the on-going re-construction of The Record Room. The sold out event featured performances from Metasota, Daddy Dinero and Kam Bennett among others, the revolving set style building the energy with each performance. Quite possibly the best dance party I’ve been to since summer, My Parent’s Bassment has established itself as a must attend. Check out some of the photos above and stay tuned for more.

As always you’ll see a few special guest performances throughout the night as well as a few free giveaways for those who come early.
