Muja Messiah Freestyle on Mr. Peter Parker Show

It’s no secret that Muja Messiah is one of the Twin Cities’ most impressive lyricists, yesterday he proved once again why he has earned such admiration. Freshly married and just ahead of his upcoming album release with Roc Marciano, Muja tears the booth to shreds with a spitfire freestyle over a medley of instrumentals. Greats have a way of making it look easy and that’s exactly what Muja Messiah does in the above video. Check it out and make sure to keep an eye out for Saran Rap, which is due out October 13th

The Red Eye World Tour (Recap)

Last Fall, Muja Messiah, RP Hooks, and Eli The Prophet hit Eastern Europe and the Middle East for their Red Eye World tour. An exciting time no doubt, the trio went on to put in work while dodging charges after an incident involving a drone at the Vatican. The video above gives a small glimpse into their trip, check it out above and keep an eye out for more.

The Red Eye World Tour

Red Eye

A few of Minnesota’s dopest MCs will head out on tour starting tomorrow, the trio will embark throughout the Mediterranean and even make a stop in London. Muja Messiah, RP Hooks, and Eli The Profit are all known individually for their abilities behind the mic, so it’ll be interesting to see whether this tour spawns a project. With 5 dates and counting, the crew is set to kick things off in Tel Aviv tomorrow night, check back for more dates as things get moving.

Muja Messiah – Girl Scout Cookies

The God Muja Messiah recently released a new track dubbed “Girl Scout Cookies.” Week 4 out of his 5 week release series, there aren’t many artists in the Twin Cities working as hard a Muja. The record’s instrumental has a west coast vibe that suits Muja’s laid back vocals well, the rolling bass line holds everything together as he slashes away line after line. One for the smokers, this track will definitely have your head bobbing. Check out “Girl Scout Cookies” above and keep an ear out for more from Muja Messiah.

Mr. Peter Parker Interviews Muja Messiah on Go 95.3

Muja Messiah on Go 95.3 with Mr. Peter Parker

ICYMI: Mr. Peter Parker had Muja Messiah in the Go 95.3 studio today – watch the full interview below.

Posted by Go953MN on Friday, January 8, 2016

Go95.3 has quickly filled the void for hip hop lovers in the Twin Cities, it’s early; but the new station is showing a lot of promise on all fronts. One of our favorite aspects is their interview segments that have been rolling out at a steady rate. Muja Messiah recently joined Mr. Peter Parker in the booth to talk about Minnesota hip hop and what’s needed to expand the culture. Like Muja says, the fact that we now have a hip hop station investing in our artists means the world to the scene. Check out the quick interview above and stay tuned for more.

Mike The Martyr & TIIIIIIIIIIP “Ghost Dose”

Ghost

The last week has been good for music in Minneapolis & Saint Paul. A couple of days ago, Mike The Martyr and TIIIIIIIIIIP dropped Ghost Dose, a 14 track jaunt hosted by TIIIIIIIIIIP himself. Martyr continues to drop heat whether he’s producing or rapping, Ghost Dose has that “golden-era” mix-tape feel with new tracks mixed between freestyles over classic instrumentals. TIIIIIIIIIIP’s hosting only adds to the listening value along with a bunch of cameos from familiar favorites like Muja Messiah, Mike Mictlan, Axel Foley, Big Dylan, Finding Novyon and MORE. Mike’s laid back, but extremely witty style impresses throughout the tape, pure Southside dope. Check out Ghost Dose below and keep an eye out for more from Mike The Martyr.

Mike The Martyr x Finding Novyon x Muja Messiah – In The Stars

The Twin Cities continue to prove why we deserve the due credit that we’re finally beginning to receive. 3 artists who are easily considered within the upper ranks of our current hip hop scene have joined forces and the results are DOPE. Featuring Mike The Martyr, Muja Messiah and Finding Novyon on the hook, the Martyr produced record connects instantly with Novyon flexing his diversity from the jump. The softly sung hook provides a perfect segue for Mike The Martyr as the beat drops. Mike is not to be slept on, he always raises the bar which is a lot to say for an artist of his caliber. Muja Messiah provides a gritty contrast painting vivid scenes of the universe through introspection, a verse that definitely deserves multiple listens. A record that not only proves how talented the Twin Cities are, it also shows how monumental collaborations can be. One of the hottest instrumentals I’ve heard out of Minneapolis in quite some time, check out “In The Stars” above and keep an eye out for more.
