Memorable Movie Moments…

This week’s memorable movie moment takes us back to the first sequel to Jurassic Park, The Lost World (1997). Also based on the preceding novel by Michael Crichton, the film is the only Jurassic Park sequel to be directed by Steven Spielberg (Saving Private Ryan, Bridge of Spies), although he has served as executive producer on JP3 (2001) and Jurassic World (2015). In fact The Lost World is the only sequel that Spielberg has opted to direct, outside of the Indiana Jones series. It was also his first time back to film after he took a leave of absence when Jurassic Park and Schindler’s List were completed and became box office hits both in the same year. Author Michael Crichton had titled the book after the famous novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, which also features a mysterious island with dinosaurs and other strange phenomena.

The Lost World brought back original actor Jeff Goldblum (Independence Day, The Grand Budapest Hotel) as Dr. Ian Malcolm, who is joined by an all new cast of characters, including Oscar-winner Julianne Moore (Hannibal, Crazy Stupid Love), Pete Postlethwaite (Inception, The Town), Vince Vaughn (Old School, Wedding Crashers), Arliss Howard (Full Metal Jacket, Moneyball), Peter Stormare (Armageddon, Minority Report), Vanessa Lee Chester (A Little Princess, Harriet the Spy), and acclaimed British actor Richard Attenborough (The Great Escape, Elizabeth). Ana Zimmer – Money Ft. Finding Novyon (Video)

French songstress, Ana Zimmer, recently released the new video for her track “Money.” The visual subtly uses the colors of the french flag throughout, directed by Akatre; the low key visual style further enhances each artists performance. Ana’s voice rolls along with the record, especially on the chorus where she opens up vocally. The hometown kid Finding Novyon looks and sounds comfortable even though a flight to France was necessary to complete this video. Fresh off another Red Bull Sound Select show in L.A, the sky continues to be the limit for Novy. A dope visual, check out “Money” above and be on the look out for more from both artists.

Freddie Gibbs – Money, Cash, Hoes

Freddie Gibbs is gearing up to go on tour towards the end of March, the Gary native recently took time out of his busy schedule to release a new single titled, “Money, Cash Hoes.” Not many artists in the streets go as hard as Freddie, the grime-town boss is known for his razor sharp flows, ice cold delivery, and gritty beat selections. From the cover art, to the instrumental, to Gibbs’ relentless bars, “Money, Cash, Hoes” is further proof of why the streets love Freddie Gibbs. Check out the track above and be on the look out for details surrounding his upcoming tour.

New Coen Brothers Comedy ‘Hail Caesar!’ Opening In Theaters February 5th

The Coen Brothers are finally back on the big screen with a new comedy titled Hail Caesar!. Starring Scarlett Johansson (The Avengers, Iron Man 2), Channing Tatum (21 Jump Street, Foxcatcher), Ralph Fiennes (The Constant Gardener, Spectre), Jonah Hill (The Wolf of Wall Street, Moneyball) and Coen regulars Tilda Swinton (Burn After Reading, The Grand Budapest Hotel), Josh Brolin (No Country For Old Men, Men In Black 3), and George Clooney (Oh Brother Where Art Thou?, Ocean’s Eleven), the film follows a Hollywood ‘fixer’ who works for Capital Records in the 1950s and must deal with the disappearance of the studio’s biggest star before an upcoming release is ruined by the schemers behind the kidnapping. The film was co-written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen (in their usual fashion), and will be their first project together since 2013’s Oscar-nominated drama Inside Llewyn Davis with Oscar Isaac (A Most Violent Year, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and Carey Mulligan (Drive, The Great Gatsby), although they have written several films since then, including director Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken and Steven Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies. The trailer for Hail Caesar! is available here on MADE. Look for it in theaters this February 5th.

Upcoming Edward Snowden Biopic From Director Oliver Stone In The Works

snowden

A new film on the life of Edward Snowden, the infamous whistleblower who leaked highly-classified documents from the National Security Agency to the press, is in the works from historical (yet controversial) director Oliver Stone (Platoon, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps). Stone and screenwriter Kieren Fitzgerald (The Ballad of Esequiel Hernandez, The Homesman) are expected to adapt the script from author Luke Harding‘s The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World’s Most Wanted Man, and Anatoly Kucherena‘s (Snowden’s Russian lawyer) upcoming memoir Time of the Octopus. Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Inception, The Dark Knight Rises) is expected to take the lead role in the film, and recent news has actress Shailene Woodley (White Bird in a Blizzard, The Fault in our Stars) joining the cast in the role of Snowden’s girlfriend. The most recent film to be released on the Snowden controversy was the documentary film from Laura Poitras and Glen Greenwald, Citizenfour, which featured footage and material from Poitras’ interview with Snowden in Hong Kong. Stone’s new film is expected in theaters sometime in 2016, so we’ll keep an eye out for more news.

Bond 24 Production Delayed Due To Script Rewrite

bond

After already delaying the project to wait for director Sam Mendes to return to the series, Eon Productions Ltd. is again facing a delay on the 24th Bond film due to script rewrites from Neal Purvis and Robert Wayde. The two writers took over the responsibility from Skyfall writer John Logan, who will lend a hand on the rewrites. And while producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli still have to cast a villain and leading lady (or ladies considering Bond always has more than one), filming may have to be pushed back to December, even though the release is still scheduled for November 2015. Daniel Craig and Ralph Fiennes are still expected to return to the series, and hopefully Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris will both be reprising Q and MoneyPenny, but thus far that’s all we know. Stay tuned.

The MINI Superleggera Vision is built after the classic roadster racing styled cars, yet perfectly blends the tradition of classic Italian coachwork construction. The car is still a concept, as it was just unveiled. Don’t get your hopes up just yet, as it would be some time before it hits production.

Director Sam Mendes Returning For Bond 24

skyfall

After much speculation as to who would take over directing duties for the next Bond film after Skyfall director Sam Mendes initially said he would not be returning for another installment, fans of the franchise will be excited to hear that Mendes has decided to direct the next movie after all. Mendes was skeptical about returning at first because the plan was to make another two-part movie, much like Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace were made as a two-part story line. Mendes brought the original franchise characters of M, Moneypenny, and Q back to their origins in Skyfall, and now the chance to continue their stories has brought Mendes a newfound interest in returning to the series. The next film will be a solitary story line following these timeless characters and is currently scheduled for theatrical release in November 2015. Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, and Ben Whishaw will all reprise their roles, so it should make for a modern Bond film with a twist of original character development all in one movie!
