Back in June we featured a post from Paisley’s “Ocarina of Time,” and now he hit us with some new beats. A few hours ago the producer dropped his mix titled The Malibu, which features some smooth jazz instrumentals prepped for summertime chillin’. The 12 track mix flows from start to finish, leaving you bobbin’ your noggin’. Sit back, press play and relax to The Malibu.
The other day we received a dope mix from Henry Stuart & Rich Lee. Presented by Boi-1da’s website, Slutty Dutches is right on time for those summer cruises around the lakes. You’ll hear some familiar jams that’ll definitely have you bobbing your head as the car gets cloudy. The project is well balanced and at just under 14 minutes, it flies by in 1 blunts time….perfect. Peep Slutty Dutches below and stay tuned for more from Henry Stuart and Rich Lee.
Heavy drums, looping bass lines, and swooping horns, all while being mixed live makes for one hell of a beat tape. The Denver based group, Krooked Drivers, have made an addicting mix that leaves you wanting more. It isn’t a surprise that the city of Denver has been pumping out a plethora of new artists in recent years, but these guys just happen to be one our favorites. It is great to see the duo (Maddy O’neal and Donnie Dalbora) releasing some fresh music such as Here and Now, and yet be able to separate their sound from the ever popular Pretty Lights. Make sure to press play and enjoy 30mn’s of uplifting music.

Yesterday, the homie Es El released these dope instrumentals that didn’t quite make the cut onto Glow Mechanics’ Schmo Mechanics. Es El, one of Minneapolis’ raw hip-hop producers, put this free 5-track tape out for all of our eardrums to enjoy, and so far it’s been on repeat. Everything about these beats just scream, “THROW ME AWAY”, so make sure to waste some time playing these over and over again. If this is now your first time hearing Es El, make sure to give his album with Glow Mechanics a listen through. More importantly, come out and support them live.
-Upcoming Show: May 31st, 2014 @ Asian Taste-
Tomorrow, Niles Miller will be LIVE at Cause on Lake & Lyndale so it’s only right that we throw up his last project. If you don’t already know, Bright Future dropped at the tail end of August and featured production from the likes of Chase N Cashe, J.R. Patton, Jimmy V & Rich Lee among others. This was definitely one of the more solid projects that came out of Minneapolis in 2013, check it out above and make sure to catch Niles LIVE at Cause tomorrow.
We posted this video awhile back but I like it so much that I decided to throw it up again. The homie Cody DeCamry just celebrated a birthday so we decided to post one of his best (our opinion). Set in the party filled, drugged induced 80s; the video is dope with plenty of room for comedy. Take a look at the video and stay tuned for more.
