Several limited releases will be available in select theaters this week.
1. The Benefactor
First on the list is a new drama titled The Benefactor with Richard Gere (Unfaithful, Chicago), Dakota Fanning (War of the Worlds, The Twilight Saga: New Moon), and Theo James (Underworld: Awakening, Insurgent) about a philanthropist who construes the lives of young couples in an attempt to relive his past. This will be the first feature-length film by writer/director Andrew Renzi (Karaoke!, Fishtail), who is also lined up to write an upcoming biographical film on Janis Joplin. Continue reading →
Nike SB recently linked up with 4 of the Midwest’s top skate shops in order to test their new “Lunar” Janoski model. Hometown favorites Familia hooked up with Uprise, Humidity and Premier in Minneapolis for indoor & outdoor tests. A bunch of riders included, this is pretty cool to see from Nike and a cool nod for the guys at Familia. Check out both videos and keep an eye out for more.
Nike is wasting no time with their new Lunar Janoski line of kicks. Shortly after dropping the OG black & whites, they’ve decided to release the above “Lazer Crimson” pair for the upcoming summer months. The new Lunar Janoski is a lot lighter and streamlined for a more casual appearance, with that being said; these are still SBs so they should survive a decent amount of wear and tear. If you like what you see, you can cop these now for $110 via Concepts (CNCPTS) or you can hit up your local SB retailer for a more detailed look.
Nike SB has slowly kicked things into gear as the Summer approaches with a few quality drops in the last few weeks. They recently unveiled some newness, giving their popular Stefan Janoski model the Lunar treatment. The traditionally skate-based shoe has been streamlined giving it a more casual appearance, these new Lunars will also be a lot lighter for those who still want to put them to good use.
