The Chicago MC has been making a lot of noise over the last year and continues to impress with solid releases and great live performances. Miami has quietly become one of the nations hottest cities for music festivals. One that all hip hop fans should be aware of is the upcoming “Rolling Loud” Festival set to go down at Soho Studios. The one day fest has an insane lineup with performances from Schoolboy Q, Travi$ Scott, Action Bronson, Juicy J, Curren$y, and A$AP Ferg to name a few. A few hometown artists even made the cut including Allan Kingdom, Kembe X, Alex Wiley, and Lucki Eck$. The event is all ages and general admission tickets are available for $70, pit tickets are $100. Chicago rapper Sterling Hayes will headline Reggie’s Rock Club tonight. The event will feature a wide range of artists including John Walt (Pivot Gang), Ethos, Brian Fresco, Dally Auston, Lucki Eck$, and GVille among others. A couple of days ago we received a track from Chicago’s own Hyype entitled “Feast”. This time around, the 11th Realm rapper enlists the help of his 197 brethren Lucki Eck$ and Adamn Killa. “Feast” plays like a movie, cinematic from it’s opening moments until it’s final seconds; a record we can already see the visual for. Hyype continues to maneuver throughout Chicago’s underground scene like a veteran, collaborating with various artists all while maintaining his own unique sound. As things continue to heat up for Chicago rapper Lucki Ecks, he’s decided to drop a loose track. Produced by Plu2o Nash, the spacey instrumental bangs hard and Lucki compliments it well with a lazy flow. “FollaDolla” is just a small sample of Lucki’s capabilities, over the last year he’s began to transcend the underground with endorsements from Red Bull, Jugrnaut and Fake Shore Drive; did we mention the kid’s only 18?
