New Trailer For ‘Suicide Squad’ Now Available

The latest trailer for the upcoming Suicide Squad movie was released this week, giving fans a much closer look at the group of maniacal killers that are recruited by the government to carry out black-ops missions in exchange for reduced sentences. Writer/director David Ayer (Training Day, Fury) assembled an all-star group of actors for the line-up, including Will Smith (Independence Day, I Robot), Jared Leto (Requiem for a Dream, Dallas Buyers Club), Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street, Focus), Joel Kinnaman (Safehouse, Run All Night), Viola Davis (The Help, Prisoners), and Jai Courtney (Divergent, Terminator: Genisys). There’s not much I can really say; everything looks really well done, including the acting, and it looks like we’ll see more by way of real action stunts than overdone CGI effects. Check out the trailer here on MADE; the movie comes to theaters August 5th.

New Trailer For ‘Suicide Squad’ Revealed At Comic-Con

A new trailer for the highly anticipated Suicide Squad movie was revealed at Comic-Con this year. Featuring an all-star cast, including Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street, Focus) as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney (Divergent, A Good Day To Die Hard), Scott Eastwood (Fury, The Longest Ride), Will Smith (Independence Day, Men in Black), Joel Kinneman (Safe House, RoboCop), and Adam Beach (Flags of Our Fathers, Joe Dirt), the film follows a group of criminals (insane criminals at that) that are recruited by the government to act as a special operations unit in exchange for commuted prison sentences. David Ayer (Training Day, End of Watch) directed the project from his own adapted screenplay based on John Ostrander’s comic series. Two other big names in the DC Comic world will also appear in the film: Ben Affleck will bring his new Batman character from the upcoming Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice to the film, and Oscar-winner Jared Leto will take up the role of the Joker, who you will see in the last few seconds of the trailer. Enjoy, and stay tuned for further news. Suicide Squad is expected in theaters in August 2016.

The Monuments Men and RoboCop Remake Hits Theaters This February

robocop

RoboCop was a smash hit when it was first released to theaters back in 1987. The story involved a police officer in Detroit who was terminally wounded and transformed into the ultimate law enforcement cyborg. The film was directed by Paul Verhoeven (Starship Troopers, Total Recall) and written by Edward Neumeier and Michael Miner, who also wrote both sequels. Peter Weller and Nancy Allen led the cast of the movie, with Kurtwood Smith (Red from That 70s Show) appearing as the main villain. The new movie has taken the story another 15 years into the future, taking place in a more futuristic 2028 Detroit, but still revolves around the same general story-line. The new movie is directed by Jose Padiha and stars Joel Kinnaman in the lead role, as well as Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight, Leon The Professional) and Michael Keaton (Batman, Beetlejuice). Also coming to theaters this February is the World War II drama/action flick The Monuments Men starring George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, John Goodman and Bill Murray. The film is based on the novel about a true story following a platoon that is tasked with the mission of saving priceless works of art from Nazi thieves and returning them to their owners. The book was written by Robert Edsel and Bret Witter and adapted for the screen by director and co-star George Clooney and Grant Heslov (Argo, Good Night and Good Luck). You can check out the trailers for both these movies right here on MADE, but you’ll have to wait another month to see them in theaters.
