‘Ghostbusters’ and ‘The Infiltrator’ Opening in Theaters This Weekend

The long anticipated Ghostbusters reboot with Melissa McCarthy (The Heat, Spy), Kristen Wiig (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, The Martian), Kate McKinnon (Ted 2, Finding Dory), and Leslie Jones (Saturday Night Live, Trainwreck) is now playing in theaters nationwide. Director Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, The Heat) has faced some harsh opposition to rebooting the series, but the film is still expected to earn a large haul at this weekend’s box office. Picking up 30 years after the last installment, a new female crew of ‘busters reopens the original location and works to rid New York of its paranormal residents. Original actors Bill Murray (Caddyshack, Stripes), Dan Aykroyd (The Blue Brothers, Tommy Boy), Ernie Hudson (Joy of Sex, The Crow), Sigourney Weaver (Alien, Avatar), and Annie Potts (Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Toy Story) are all expected to make cameo appearances throughout the film, so it should be a pretty fun summer blockbuster. Watch The New Trailer For Upcoming Boxing Drama ‘Hands of Stone’

After Creed and how many Rocky movies? we thought Hollywood might give the underdog boxing story a break, but nevertheless, a new drama titled Hands of Stone is opening in theaters this August. Written and directed by Jonathan Jakubowicz (Ships of Hope, Secuestro express), the film follows the life and career of boxing legend Roberto Duran and his equally legendary trainer Ray Arcel and how they would forever influence each other’s lives. Starring in the respective leads are actors Edgar Ramírez (The Counselor, Joy), and Robert De Niro (American Hustle, Silver Lining’s Playbook), who are supported by Ana de Armas (Knock Knock, Exposed), Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Eve’s Bayou, The Great Debaters), Ellen Barkin (Sea of Love, Ocean’s Thirteen), and John Turturro (Mr. Deeds, Transformers). 73rd Annual Golden Globe Winners Announced

The 73rd annual Golden Globe Awards were held last night, and it produced a finals list that was definitely deserving, and in some cases very surprising, particularly Sylvester Stallone winning the Best Supporting Actor award for his Oscar-nominated role of Rocky Balboa. Here are the winners for all of the film categories:

New Drama ‘Joy’ With Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper Now Playing In Theaters

A new drama featuring recurring co-stars Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games, X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Bradley Cooper (The Hangover, American Sniper) titled Joy is now playing in theaters nationwide. The two stars are again directed by writer/director David O. Russell (American Hustle, Silver Linings Playbook), in the story of Joy Mangano, the woman who invented the Miracle Mop and became the matriarch of her family business and dynasty, but not before she encounters betrayal and treachery on her way to success. Also joining the two co-stars is their third recurring co-star Robert DeNiro (Goodfellas, Casino), with actors Edgar Ramirez (Vantage Point, The Liberator), Diane Ladd (Chinatown, Christmas Vacation), Virginia Madsen (Sideways, Firewall), and Isabella Rossellini (Fearless, Enemy).
