January 2015 will close out with a new thriller from director Erik Van Looy (Shades, The Memory of a Killer) titled The Loft. The film is a new Americanized version of Looy’s 2008 foreign thriller Loft, written by screenwriter Bart De Pauw (Team Spirit, The Mole), who co-wrote the new adaptation with fellow screenwriter Wesley Strick (Cape Fear, Final Analysis). Leading the cast are actors Karl Urban (The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, The Bourne Supremacy), James Marsden (X2:X-Men United, Superman Returns), Wentworth Miller (Underworld, Prison Break), Eric Stonestreet (Almost Famous, Identity Thief), and Matthias Schoenaerts (Bullhead, Rust and Bone) as five friends who go-in together on a secret loft where they can have their elicit affairs and outlandish indulgences. The plot turns, however, when the friends find a dead woman in the loft and begin to suspect each other of the crime. The trailer is here on MADE. Check it out in theater next Friday, January 30th.
We were all pretty surprised to see that Liam Neeson would be appearing in a sequel to his 2008 action thriller Taken, but seeing as they made a 2nd I guess they may as well go ahead and make a 3rd. Yes, a 3rd. Liam Neeson will grace the screen one more time this January as ex-CIA agent Bryan Mills, who has a wife and daughter that, for some reason, always seem to be the target of a kidnapping plot. This time out Mills finds himself framed for the murder of his ex-wife, and must ensue on a new mission to clear his name by finding the true killer before the authorities track him down. Oscar-winner Forest Whitaker (Phone Booth, Lee Daniel’s The Butler) will be joining the supporting cast along with Maggie Grace (Taken, The Fog) and Famke Janssen (GoldenEye, X-Men) returning as daughter Kim and ex-wife Lenore. Screenwriting/directing duo Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen (Leon: The Professional, The Fifth Element), who wrote both Taken and Taken 2, penned the new script for director Olivier Megaton (Transporter 3, Taken 2). Check out the new trailer here on MADE; the new movie comes out January 9th. Also opening on January 9th is director Paul Thomas Anderson‘s upcoming LA-noir drama Inherent Vice with Joaquin Phoenix and Josh Brolin, as well as Ava DuVernay’s Civil Rights drama Selma with David Oyelowo and Tim Roth, so be sure to mark your calendar for January 9!

Mark Gonzales, a professional skateboarder/artist, is back riding the streets of New York. For those that really don’t know, The Gonz is known as a pioneer of street skateboarding and has been named as the “Most Influential Skateboarder of all Time,” by Transworld Skateboarding. Put it this way, he is the first ever known person to skate hand rails.
This little “for fun” video of Gonz, brings back skateboarding to the good ole’ days, showing off skating as simply fun and enjoyable. At the end of the video he really shows off how much he still has it, the old man can still ride. Enjoy.
Photographer Ewan Bowman and Thrasher Magazine put together this incredible video featuring Bastien Salabanzi. He is definitely one of the best street skaters to ever step foot on this planet, and this is easily arguable in this video. The kid can throw a cab flip damn near everywhere he goes, as he simply stuns. . . so give him the crown. Check out this latest video from Bastien’s ‘lost footage,’ it definitely won’t disappoint.
