Donald Glover a.k.a Childish Gambino will be swinging through Minneapolis & Chicago TONIGHT on his “Deep Web Tour”. Gambino recently released “Because The Internet”, which was received well by hardcore fans and critics alike. No word on who else he’ll have playing with him, but it should definitely be a good time for both cities. Tickets are ALREADY sold out for the Chicago show, but all of our Minneapolis brethren can still cop theirs for $30. If you haven’t seen the line up for Soundset this year (really?), you already know the list is a long one with a lot of dope artists. Among them are the Flatbush Zombies, who’ve been riding the success of their latest project, BETTEROFFDEAD, with a nation wide tour. Above is a little peak at what you can expect come May 25th at Soundset, hailing from the mecca (Brooklyn, NY); these guys are at the forefront of the “Beastcoast” movement. Tomorrow, Niles Miller will be LIVE at Cause on Lake & Lyndale so it’s only right that we throw up his last project. If you don’t already know, Bright Future dropped at the tail end of August and featured production from the likes of Chase N Cashe, J.R. Patton, Jimmy V & Rich Lee among others. This was definitely one of the more solid projects that came out of Minneapolis in 2013, check it out above and make sure to catch Niles LIVE at Cause tomorrow.
The man, the myth, DJ Snuggles dropped the 1st installment of his new EP series last week. Entitled “That Beat”, the project showcases Snuggles’ signature beat boxing mixed so damn well; it will have you wondering how this man makes these sounds with his mouth. Featuring Black Spvce (DJ Snuggles x Rapper Hooks x 1990), Sean Anonymous and MaLLy the EP flies by at a full length just over 13 minutes. This is definitely one of my early favs for the year, peep That Beat below and make sure to check out DJ Snuggles this Friday at Cause (Lake & Lyndale).

Auggie The 9th took to Twitter to announce what’s looking like a super dope event. Brought to us by Slurp Cult, L.O.D & Jugrnaut; the GAWS Loft Party will feature performances from Auggie himself, Supa BWE, Animuse and The Legion of Dudez. The event is 18+ and tickets are $5 in advance ($7 @ door), if you bring a gently used comic to donate; you’ll get in for $5 at the door. This one’s BYOB so come prepared, if you’re early they’ll be giving out free PBR from 9-10. This should definitely be a good time, anyone who can should make sure to check it out.
