Today in 1989, the eccentric and far-out vacation-gone-wrong comedy Weekend at Bernie‘s opened in theaters around the world. While critics didn’t have too many great things to say about it, movie-goers openly embraced the outlandish comedy, making it one of pop-culture’s most frequently referenced movies to-date. The script was penned by Emmy-winning screenwriter Robert Klane, who also worked as a writer on National Lampoon’s Vacation (1985) and Weekend at Bernie’s II (1993). Ted Kotcheff (Fun with Dick and Jane, Rambo: First Blood) directed the movie, which starred Andrew McCarthy (St. Elmo’s Fire, Pretty in Pink) and Jonathan Silverman (Conception, The Hungover Games) as a pair of insurance agents who are invited by their boss to spend the weekend with him at his house in the Hamptons; when they arrive to find him dead Continue reading →
This Valentine’s Day weekend will see plenty of big screen features released for you and your date to go and see for your big date night outings. First up is the new comic-book adaptation for Deadpool with Ryan Reynolds (Safe House, Self/Less) and Morena Baccarin (Heartland, Spy), which, considering it’s an R-rated comic adaptation, has many fans waiting in high anticipation for last night’s midnight showing. The second up is the long awaited comedy sequel Zoolander 2, featuring Ben Stiller (Dodgeball, Meet the Parents), Owen Wilson (Old School, Wedding Crashers), Penelope Cruz (Blow, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides), Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty), Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game, Black Mass), and Will Ferrell (Superstar, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy). This time out, supermodels Derek and Hansel must join forces once again to stop an opposing company lead by longtime rival Mugatu (Ferrell) from putting them out of business. Ben Stiller got behind the director’s chair for the new film, and also co-wrote the movie with screenwriters Justin Theroux (Tropic Thunder, Iron Man 2), Nicholas Stoller (Fun With Dick and Jane, The Five-Year Engagement), and John Hamburg (Along Came Polly, I Love You Man). The trailer is available here on MADE. Enjoy your Valentine’s Day weekend!

The Winter beer dabbler is the real fuckin’ deal. We have attended the last two years, and nothing really compares to it. Bundled up from head to toe with a pretzel necklace on lock – the Winter Beer Dabbler will leave you stumbling with patchy great memories.
Just like last year, the beer dabbler will feature: 120+ breweries, food trucks, silent disco, Hammerschlagen and many more activities. Hopefully, like last year, Red Bull will sponsor the festival with DJ’s, and a snowboarding/skiing competition. Keep in mind, this is THE largest beer festival in Minnesota. There is something about crazy Minnesotan’s, wanting to stand outside for hours in the blistering cold, all for some delicious brews. Peep the video below and we hope to see you there.
Creative, Fun, and Brilliant. Belkin released this video a few months back for the new iPhone 5. They teamed up with Apple and LEGO to create a whole new way of using a phone case. Now you can have endless creations and opportunities to customize your new iPhone! Belkin plans on releasing a limited amount of these, and they are priced at $40 a pop (ouch). As of now, they do not make these for any other model of phone, so unless you have an iPhone 5, you are out of luck. Possibly if they MADE these for Android phones I would look into it, but definitely not for $40.
