Chris Morris – Moneyyy

Last week, Florida MC Chris Morris released a new single titled “Moneyyy.” Produced by Orijanus, the record’s vibe is clean cut with a touch of vintage flavor at the beginning. At about the 1:45 mark the track transforms into a banger, a cool contrast executed well. A quick display of versatility, Chris switches things up with ease. With his next project, Life is Holy on the way, it’ll be interesting to see what else he has up his sleeve. Check out “Moneyyy” below and keep an eye out for more from Chris Morris.

Pouya x Allan Kingdom x Bobby Raps – Chosen

Last week, Miami’s own Pouya was in Minneapolis for a show at the Red Sea. The Florida rapper was joined by Yung Simmie and Fat Nick, by the looks of things the crew had a good time. A mutual respect between Allan Kingdom and Pouya can be traced via Twitter so it comes as no surprise that the two got in the studio during Pouya’s stop. All 3 artists get down on this record, with Bobby Raps providing a verse as well as the production. A cool collab, those in Miami might be lucky enough to catch this one live during the “Rolling Loud” Music Festival on the 28th.

Nobodies – Trident Ft. Supa Bwe (Video)

Yesterday, the good people over at Elevator Mag presented, the Nobodies’ video for “Trident.” We featured the single a few months back, but it appears the Florida duo finally made their way up to Chicago for the video. Supa Bwe flashes his eccentric style all over the heavy hitting instrumental, easily standing out. Despite the current dispute regarding it’s release, the video is pretty dope; check it out above.

Chester Watson LIVE @ Kitty Cat Klub w/ K. Raydio & Psymun

Location: 315 14th Avenue SE, Minneapolis
When: Thursday, January 15th @ 9PM

The kid Chester Watson will be in town in a few days for a show at Kitty Cat Klub. The Florida artist will be joined by Psymun, K.Raydio and Art Vandelay, rounding out what should be a good time. Most of these artists are acquainted with each other in one way or another, so you can expect a good amount of chemistry and mixed sets. This one’s 21+ and tickets will be $10 at the door, Kitty Cat Klub is a pretty cool venue so you should definitely drop in if you don’t have anything planned.

Pouya – Social Experiment

Florida’s hip hop scene has been booming as of late with a recent, Bone Thugs influenced resurgence. Aside from the Raider Klan, another artist making noise is Pouya, a young MC who might have you doing and double take. Some would say the kid’s as trill as they come, others would call him a wannabe; we’re on the former side of the debate. Despite heavy criticism, Pouya’s fan base continues to grow and that’s a testament to his work ethic. An associate of Michael Rocks & Robb Bank$, Pouya is steadily maneuvering the wide open underground scene like a champ, check out “Social Experiment” above and keep it locked here for more from Pouya.

Chester Watson – Trident (Video)

Chester Watson recently dropped a new video for his track, “Trident”. The young MC is definitely on the up and up, a frequenter of Psymun beats; Chester has an odd link to Minneapolis. His sound is unique, but familiar; and not far from that “Golden Era” sound that the Twin Cities has prided itself on. The night time visual meshes perfectly with the song’s dark tones, Chester even pulls off an equally chill tre’ flip at 0:23. Check out the video for “Trident” above, and click the link below for tickets to his upcoming show at Kitty Cat Klub.

Chester Watson “Guru Vol.3”

Chester Watson just dropped a new instrumental tape in the form of Guru Vol.3. Chester has been putting out music consistently as of late whether it’s instrumental or himself. This project is full of Chester’s signature murky sound, but also holds tracks that differ like “Yomme” and “Beeps”. Check out Guru Vol.3 below and keep an eye out for more from Chester Watson.
