The Familia team will once again host the skate competitions at this year’s Soundset Music Festival. There will be open skating all day, but there will also be a jam style best trick contest leading up to the Showdown at 4PM. The skate contests are a good way to mix things up between performances at Soundset, if you have some extra time make sure to stop by.
The Metro has announced a ticket giveaway contest for ILoveMakonnen’s upcoming show. No exact amount laid out but they’ve made it clear that it’s multiple tickets. The contest runs until 5PM on Monday, May 4th, click the link below and sign up if you’re interested.
First Avenue and Vita.MN have began their “Are You Local” contest in preparation for Austin’s upcoming South by SouthWest Festival. Public voting for the contest has already began. By voting for your favorite band you’ll give them the chance to perform at First Ave, as well as win a trip down to SXSW to perform at First Ave/Vita.MN’s showcase. Evie The Cool & Show You Suck are teaming up to bring you the “Dude Bro” contest in preparation for Show’s concert on November 21st. They are asking people to make a cover art for your favorite Show You Suck song and to submit them before November 14th. On that day 3 finalists will be selected and posted onto Evie The Cool’s website, at that time the finalists will need to garner votes in order to win; the most votes winning. The winners will be announced on November 18th, you’ll receive a pair of tickets to the show and a special gift package from Jugrnaut to sweeten the deal. This years Downtown Throw down is nearly upon us and it’s shaping up to be another dope event. Sponsored by Cal-Surf & City Pages this year’s throw down will feature 25 invited riders who will all compete for $20,000.
