Danny Brown has released another visual for his track “Dope Song” from off of his latest project “Old”. The video follows Danny around Detroit as he announces his last song about drugs. I could see Mr. Brown killing this one at a live show, if you’re a fan of Danny you’ll definitely be bobbing your head. Shouts out D-Town, 6 to the 8 Southfield Highway to Livernois WHAT UP!?!?
Chance the Rapper is absolutely on fire right now. After murdering Lolla, Chance has spent his summer touring with the likes of Mac Miller, Earl Sweatshirt, Talib Kweli & Macklemore. Now, just when you thought his buzz couldn’t get any bigger; Chance has been selected to cover the next issue of Complex mag. Well done sir, keep up the good work.
Earlier in the day, we posted about how Complex Mag recognized Minneapolis as #14 on their list of the “15 Best Cities for Hip Hop Fans Right Now”; again we’ve made the list this time around at #4 with Chicago. Complex acknowledged the young guns of the current drill scene (Lil Reese, Young Chop, Durk), but surprised us by also mentioning up and comers like Vic Mensa & Tree. Chicago is truly on fire at the moment with crews like Save Money, 300 and Pivot Gang all making major noise, it’s only a matter of time before the CHI is fighting for that #1 spot.
