First Full-Length Trailer For Bryan Singer’s ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Now Available

Last week we caught the first full length trailer for DC Comics’ upcoming Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. This week, however, Marvel has just rolled out a new trailer for Bryan Singer‘s new (and potentially last) installment in the X-Men film series, subtitled Apocalypse. The film follows the new timeline that was established at the conclusion of Days of Future Past, and finds the young generation of X-Men facing an ancient mutant known as Apocalypse, who has the power to destroy civilization as we know it. Original X-Men director Bryan Singer, who also directed X2: X-Men United and Days of Future Past, returned to direct and co-write the screenplay with Simon Kinberg (X-Men: The Last Stand, Sherlock Holmes), along with help from Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris (X2: X-Men United, Superman Returns). New Full Length Trailer For ‘Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Now Available

Last week fans were able to catch a sneak peak at a scene from the upcoming Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, due out in March 2016. The film is the follow up to director Zack Snyder‘s Man of Steel and the precursor to Warner Bros./DC Comics upcoming Justice League movie, which will follow the next year in 2017. Most of the supporting cast from Man of Steel will be reprising their roles, including Henry Cavill (Stardust, The Man From UNCLE) as Superman, Amy Adams (American Hustle, Big Eyes) as Lois Lane, Diane Lane (Unfaithful, Trumbo), and Michael Shannon (World Trade Center, Revolutionary Road), with newcomers Ben Affleck (Argo, The Town) as Batman, Gal Gadot (Fast Five, Furious 7), Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones, Conan the Barbarian), Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network, Zombieland), Holly Hunter (The Piano, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?), Jeremy Irons (The Man in the Iron Mask, Die Hard with a Vengeance), and Laurence Fishburne (Apocalypse Now, The Matrix) also joining the cast. The new trailer introduces the major players, including Eisenberg’s Lex Luther and a glimpse of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and also of the opposing relationship between Batman and Superman and the political storm surrounding crime in Metropolis and Gotham City. Check out the full trailer here on MADE, and as always, enjoy!

New Trailer Offers Sneak-Peak Footage For Upcoming ‘Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice’

A new trailer has just been released for director Zack Snyder‘s upcoming Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. The film will be the follow up to Snyder’s Man of Steel (2013), with Henry Cavill (Stardust, The Man from UNCLE) and Oscar-nominee Amy Adams (American Hustle, Big Eyes) reprising their roles as Superman and Lois Lane, and introducing Ben Affleck (The Town, Argo) in the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne. Honestly, it already looks terrible, but I’ll let you judge for yourself. In preparation for Warner Bros/DC Comics big screen production of Justice League, which is expected in theaters in 2017, the film will also introduce Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6, Furious 7) in the role of Wonder Woman (with an independent Wonder Woman movie also expected in theaters in 2017) and Jason Momoa (Conan the Barbarian, Bullet in the Head) in the role of Aquaman. And yes, there will be an independent Aquaman movie coming out in 2018, along with The Flash, who will be played by Ezra Miller (We Need To Talk About Kevin, The Perks of Being A Wallflower) and may be making a brief appearance in this movie. In other words, once Star Wars: The Force Awakens is out, it’s right back to milking the comic books. Continue reading

New Trailer For ‘Batman Vs. Superman’ Debuted At Comic-Con 2015

A lot of news was revealed at the annual Comic-Con event in San Diego this year; so much, in fact, that we’ll probably be telling you about it all week. One of the highlights of the event was the Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice panel, which featured actors Henry Cavill (The Cold Light of Day, Immortals), Ben Affleck (The Town, Argo), Gal Gadot (Entourage, Furious Seven), and Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network, Zombieland) discussing the movie and the new (much extended) trailer that was unveiled for fans. The movie has a lot of weight resting on its shoulders. Not only will Batman be re-introduced to the big-screen after Christian Bale’s Dark Knight series ended, but Wonder Woman will also make her big-screen debut and (if DC gets their shit together and starts coordinating their superhero movie plots) will lay the groundwork for the upcoming Justice League movies. Wonder Woman is also expected to have her own independent movie coming into production and Ben Affleck has signed on for both the Justice League movies and additional independent Batman movies. Talk about milking the cow! Anyway the new trailer for Batman Vs. Superman, which is expected in theaters March 24th, 2016, is here on MADE. Enjoy!

This week Academy Award-winning musician-turned-actor Jared Leto (Requiem For A Dream, Dallas Buyers Club) was seen in a new photo from director David Ayer’s Twitter account. The photo displays Leto’s Joker make-up for the upcoming Suicide Squad, due out in theaters in August 2016, while simultaneously celebrating the 75th anniversary of the character’s first appearance. Writer/director David Ayer (End of Watch, Fury) will be working from his own script adaptation of Ross Andru, Robert Kanigher, and John Ostrander’s DC Comics series. Joining Leto in the cast line-up are actors Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street, Focus), Jai Courtney (The Water Diviner, Terminator Genisys), Will Smith (Independence Day, Men in Black), Joel Kinneman (Safe House, RoboCop), and Viola Davis (The Help, Prisoners). Actor/rapper Common (Now You See Me, Selma), Scott Eastwood (Invictus, The Longest Ride), Jessie Eisenberg (The Social Network, Zombieland), and Adam Beach (Joe Dirt, Flags of our Fathers) are also expected to make appearances in the film. The plot details are minute but the general outline from the comics is that the Suicide Squad is a group of super-villains put together by a government agency tasked with carrying out dangerous missions in exchange for shorter prison sentences. Principle photography is currently underway, so we should see a teaser trailer coming out pretty soon. Follow the link below to see the tweeted photo from director Ayer.

Warner Bros. Is Looking For Female Director To Head ‘Wonder Woman’ Movie With Gal Gadot

woman

It seems I spoke too soon when I said I hadn’t heard of any upcoming independent Wonder Woman project in the midst of all the crazy Avengers and Justice League news that has been coming out from Marvel and DC Comics. Apparently there is a solo movie featuring Wonder Woman is in the works from Warner Bros. studios that will feature Gal Gadot carrying her role over from Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), and that project has already been given a release date of June 23, 2017. While Batman Vs. Superman is obviously already in the works with director Zack Snyder, the studio is quite not looking to Snyder to direct this independent project. Instead they are on the hunt for a female director to take on the film, and some names already being tossed around the grapevine (specifically from Forbes Magazine) include Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty), Catherine Hardwicke (Lords of Dogtown, Twilight), Julie Taymor (Titus, Across The Universe), Michelle MacLaren (Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones), and Tricia Brock (Killer Diller, The Walking Dead). While a decision has yet to be made on the matter of directing, the screenplay is already being worked out by writers Michael Goldenberg (Contact, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix), Matthew Jennison, William M. Marston (Wonder Woman-1979), and Brent Strickland. Gadot is the only confirmed cast member at this point. Stay tuned for more news.

Director James Wan Will Produce And Adapt His Graphic Novel ‘Malignant Man’ For 20th Century Fox

Although he is working tirelessly on the revived Fast & Furious 7, director James Wan is already looking to his future plans, which may include producing and directing his own graphic novel for 20th Century Fox. Deadline recently reported that Fox bought the rights to Wan’s graphic novel Malignant Man and, if all goes well, will have Wan producing and directing the project. The novel follows a cancer patient (Alan Gates) who learns that his once-terminal cancer tumor is actually giving him superpowers and allows him to become a crime-fighting superhero, so it’s an interesting combination of DC Comics meets Phenomenon. Fast & Furious 7 is still in the filming process after a delayed production following Paul Walker’s death last year, so we don’t really know when Malignant Man will really get rolling, but probably sometime in the next two years. Fast & Furious 7 is scheduled for release in 2015.
