This week their waiting is over as Deadpool will be opening in theaters nationwide this Friday. The new film stars Ryan Reynolds (Safe House, Self/Less) as former Special Forces operative Wade Wilson, who, after being subjected to a rogue military experiment, turns mercenary as he discovers he has accelerated healing abilities. Also starring in the film are actors Morena Baccarin (Heartland, Spy), TJ Miller (Transformers: Age of Extinction, Silicon Valley), and Stefan Kapicic (Tears for Sale, Big Miracle) as the voice of Colossus. The film is directed by visual effects producer Tim Miller from a script by co-writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (GI Joe: Retaliation, Zombieland). The trailer for the movie is here on MADE. New Thriller From M. Night Shyamalan ‘The Visit’ Now Playing In Theaters

It seems like we’ve gone a long time without seeing a scary movie from M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs) open on the big screens, but a new thriller from the iconic writer/director is opening in theaters across the country today. This will be his first feature film since 2013’s After Earth; he most recently served as executive producer for the television series Wayward Pines, after writing a couple of episodes for After Hours. He also has an undisclosed project that is still in the early production stages. The new release is titled The Visit and follows two siblings on a visit to see their grandparents, but things turn very strange and the trip proves to be everything but an ordinary trip to grandma’s house. Leading the cast as the two kids are Olivia DeJonge (The Sisterhood of Night, Polarized) and Ed Oxenbould (Paper Planes, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day), with actors Deanna Dunagan (Running Scared, Dimension), Peter McRobbie (Spider-Man 2, Lincoln), and Kathryn Hahn (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Step Brothers) making up the supporting cast. Shyamalan screened the movie at ComicCon in San Diego and received positive reviews from audiences there, who report a really crazy twist in pure M. Night Shyamalan style. I’ll just say it’s about time. The trailer is featured above. Enjoy the weekend!

Watch The First Trailer For Quentin Tarantino’s Upcoming ‘The Hateful Eight’

Yesterday writer/director Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained) released the first trailer for his upcoming western The Hateful Eight. The film is credited as Tarantino’s eighth film and as many of you know has already undergone its fair share of controversy. The initial screenplay was leaked to the public on Gawker earlier this year and Tarantino’s filing a lawsuit against them was highly publicized in the press (to his own dismay). But since then the director has completed his final written script and with filming complete, he appeared at this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego to showcase the movie with a whole 7-minute clip and a discussion about shooting on 70mm film instead of conforming to the film industry’s shift to digital filmmaking, which he has stated may drive him to leave filmmaking altogether (but nothing is yet set in stone). As for the new movie, it will stand as Tarantino’s second venture into the Western genre and this time will even feature a score (the first of his films to do so) by composer Ennio Morricone, who first achieved fame as a composer for westerns on legendary director Sergio Leone‘s A Fistful of Dollars and The Good The Bad and The Ugly. Making up the cast for Hateful Eight include Tarantino regulars Samuel L. Jackson (Jackie Brown, Django Unchained), Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction), and Michael Madsen (Kill Bill Vol. 1-2), plus actors Kurt Russell (Escape From New York, Death Proof), Walton Goggins (Miracle at St. Anna’s, Sons of Anarchy), Jennifer Jason Leigh (Road to Perdition, The Machinist), Zoe Bell (Grindhouse, Inglorious Basterds), and Oscar-nominee Bruce Dern (Monster, Nebraska). You can see the new trailer here on MADE. The Hateful Eight will be opening on big screens nationwide January 8, 2016, with a limited release happening this Christmas Day. Stay tuned!

Ryan Reynolds in full costume as Wade Wilson/Deadpool.

After a successful panel at this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego, we now have a full-length trailer for the upcoming comic-action movie Deadpool, which unlike many of the comic films these days, will be rated R. The film stars Ryan Reynolds (Green Lantern, Self/less) in the title role of Wade Wilson/Deadpool, a former Special Forces operative who undergoes an unconventional experiment that provides him with accelerated tissue regeneration (like a Frankenstein version of Wolverine) and vows to seek out those who nearly took his life. Director Tim Miller (Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Mass Effect 2) helmed the project from a script by writing-team Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Zombieland, The Joe Schmo Show). Starring alongside Reynolds are actors T.J. Miller (Big Hero 6, Silicon Valley), Gina Carano (Haywire, Fast & Furious 6), Brianna Hildebrand (Prism, First Girl I Loved), Morena Baccarin (Homeland, Spy), and Ed Skrein (Game of Thrones, The Transporter Refueled). The movie is expected to open in theaters in February 2016. Check out the new trailer at the link below, which aired on Conan this week, and stay tuned for more forthcoming news!

New Trailer For ‘Suicide Squad’ Revealed At Comic-Con

A new trailer for the highly anticipated Suicide Squad movie was revealed at Comic-Con this year. Featuring an all-star cast, including Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street, Focus) as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney (Divergent, A Good Day To Die Hard), Scott Eastwood (Fury, The Longest Ride), Will Smith (Independence Day, Men in Black), Joel Kinneman (Safe House, RoboCop), and Adam Beach (Flags of Our Fathers, Joe Dirt), the film follows a group of criminals (insane criminals at that) that are recruited by the government to act as a special operations unit in exchange for commuted prison sentences. David Ayer (Training Day, End of Watch) directed the project from his own adapted screenplay based on John Ostrander’s comic series. Two other big names in the DC Comic world will also appear in the film: Ben Affleck will bring his new Batman character from the upcoming Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice to the film, and Oscar-winner Jared Leto will take up the role of the Joker, who you will see in the last few seconds of the trailer. Enjoy, and stay tuned for further news. Suicide Squad is expected in theaters in August 2016.

More From Comic-Con: ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ + Independent Gambit, Deadpool

A Comic-Con celebration would hardly be complete without an X-Men panel of sorts, and this year definitely had plenty of news to appease fans. First up, original X-Men director Bryan Singer (The Usual Suspects, Valkyrie) along with actors Hugh Jackman (Les Miserables, Prisoners), Jennifer Lawrence (American Hustle, The Hunger Games), Michael Fassbender (Inglorious Basterds, 12 Years A Slave), and Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis, A Most Violent Year) displayed an unexpected trailer for the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse movie. The film will pick up in the 1980s, after the conclusion of X-Men: Days of Future Past and although the story details are still pretty murky, the mutants and Professor Xavier will come face-to-face with the ancient mutant Apocalypse, who has been around since the dawn of time and is intent on founding a new civilization from the ashes of the one we know. Joining the mutant cast include Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, and Nickolas Hoult as Beast. The trailer should be available for public viewing at some point soon, so we’ll keep an eye out for that. Hugh Jackman was in attendance for the Apocalypse panel although Wolverine is not expected to be in the movie, but Jackman will take up the role one last time in a new solo Wolverine movie. Two other mutants are also expected to make their independent film debuts: Channing Tatum is expected to appear in an independent Gambit movie and Ryan Reynolds will also be appearing in a solo Deadpool movie. Keep an eye out for further news on these two projects. The full panel is available here on MADE.

New Trailer For ‘Batman Vs. Superman’ Debuted At Comic-Con 2015

A lot of news was revealed at the annual Comic-Con event in San Diego this year; so much, in fact, that we’ll probably be telling you about it all week. One of the highlights of the event was the Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice panel, which featured actors Henry Cavill (The Cold Light of Day, Immortals), Ben Affleck (The Town, Argo), Gal Gadot (Entourage, Furious Seven), and Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network, Zombieland) discussing the movie and the new (much extended) trailer that was unveiled for fans. The movie has a lot of weight resting on its shoulders. Not only will Batman be re-introduced to the big-screen after Christian Bale’s Dark Knight series ended, but Wonder Woman will also make her big-screen debut and (if DC gets their shit together and starts coordinating their superhero movie plots) will lay the groundwork for the upcoming Justice League movies. Wonder Woman is also expected to have her own independent movie coming into production and Ben Affleck has signed on for both the Justice League movies and additional independent Batman movies. Talk about milking the cow! Anyway the new trailer for Batman Vs. Superman, which is expected in theaters March 24th, 2016, is here on MADE. Enjoy!

New Teaser Trailer For Upcoming ‘Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice’

Even though fans still have the rest of 2015’s impressive release schedule to appease their appetites, this weekend saw a new teaser-trailer for next year’s highly anticipated Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Directed by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) and starring Henry Cavill (Immortals, Man of Steel) as Superman and Oscar-winner Ben Affleck (Argo, Gone Girl) as Batman, the film will act as both a follow-up to 2013’s Man of Steel and a pre-cursor for DC Comic’s upcoming Justice League movie(s), due out in 2017 and 2019. Screenwriters David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight Rises, Man of Steel) and Chris Terrio (Heights, Argo) penned the script for the film, which will also feature Amy Adams (The Fighter, American Hustle) as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot (Knight and Day, Fast & Furious 6) as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa (Conan the Barbarian, Bullet in the Head) as Aquaman, Jessie Eisenberg (The Social Network, Now You See Me) as Lex Luther, Jeremy Irons (The Lion King, Die Hard With A Vengeance) as Alfred, and Diane Lane (The Perfect Storm, Unfaithful) as Martha Kent. The trailer includes a glimpse of Affleck’s Batman suit but doesn’t give any solid hints as to why Batman ends up facing off with Superman (although fans of the comics will probably have more knowledge about that!). Enjoy!
