Nike SB plans to release it’s “Hacky Sack” Janoski on April 19th. The kicks are inspired by the all-too famous game, with a design reminiscent of many of the old hacky sacks you may have seen. These are kinda dope, an easy wear for any casual occasion. If you’re trying to cop BEWARE, these are a PACSUN only release (WTF right?), so you’ll have to brave a little mall traffic to get them.
We’re not even 3 months into 2014 and people are already looking ahead to 2015. The year has a special place in sneaker head’s hearts, if you remember Back to the Future II; Marty McFly’s futuristic kicks released in 2015. Back in 2011, Nike capitalized off of the hype by auctioning off 1500 pairs via Ebay for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. It is believed that the auction brought in nearly $6 million bucks….that’s about $4000 a pair. This time around the kicks will come complete with the same “power lacing” technology seen in the movie, want a pair for your collection? Start saving up that 4K now.
Nike SB’s skate team has been putting in a lot of work as of late, with their latest video it appears they’ve finally found some time to kick back and just skate. Up in America’s North Western corner, the Nike SB warehouse houses one of the best bowls (let alone parks) in the states. Peep the video above and keep an eye out for more from Nike SB.
Stevie Williams’ Asphalt Yacht Club has been taking things slow since their birth late last year, but that seems to all be changing. Over the past few months the team has been traveling and compiling film for their debut release later this year. Along the way they decided to share a little bit of their trip through the American SouthWest. The clip features Nijah Huston, Stevie Williams, Stefan Janoski, Riley Hawk (Yup, Tony’s son), Derrick Wilson & Jaws among others; this team is a force to be reckoned with. Peep the video above and keep an eye out for more from AYC. (Riley Hawk @ 2:38 is nuts!!)
