[MADE] Recap – Pizza Luce Block Party 2014

DSC04437

This year’s Pizza Luce Block Party was definitely one of the better, if not the best block parties of the season. Good beers, great music, beautiful weather and all around good vibes made up the day.

Every artist that performed, put on a hell of a show in their own respects. With acts such as Charlie Parr, GRRRL PRTY, Carnage, Dem Atlas, Heiruspecs, and Black Market Brass Band — we witnessed a variety of the cities talented musicians.

The crowd was hyped from the get go and never seemed to let up. With inflatable giant beach balls bouncing around for hours, it definitely added a nice element to the experience by learning to not spill and keep your head up. With Pizza Luce strongly focused on having some of the cities up and comers and seasoned vets; Luce will definitely have us back for next years party. Lets just hope they never have a ticket system again though, waiting in a line to get into another line is never convenient.

[Recap] Fall Food Truck Rally

The Fall Food Truck Rally happened over the weekend and it was definitely a success. After a long day of rainy weather and sleet, hungry goers and beer lovers were hardly fazed. Once the crap weather cleared up, bonfires were born. I must say, one of the favorites from the Rally was the spicy lamb burrito from the Hot Indian food truck. The burrito was filled with fresh ingredients, and had others wondering what the magical food was that we were devouring. It was also a nice touch that Harriet featured music from the likes of Charlie Parr, Crankshaft, and Jeff Ray; they certainly kept our feet stomping and Harriet’s brew flowing. Overall, it was a nice prequel to the upcoming Winter Beer Dabbler.
