This time around the guys are throwing down for St. Patrick’s Day with performances by Carnage, Kids Like Us & 7Tre ENT (Shouts out 73rd Street). This Sunday at Triple Rock, there will be a nice lineup of Hip-Hop artists, including our good friends of Glow Mechanics. There are a decent amount of artists on this lovely New Years Eve Eve, and we suggest making an attempt to catch some of these artists live. In celebration of Halloween and their “Fright Night” event at O’Gara’s tonight, The Cannaholics and Victor Proton have joined forces on a new track entitled “Blvckout”. Featuring in-house production and some slick rhymes to go along, the track is definitely a nice addition to their catalogue. Just when we started wondering what’s going on for Halloween it seems we’ve found just that. Bloomington spitters The Cannaholics will be hosting “Halloween Fright Night” at O’Gara’s Bar & Grill in St. Paul for anyone who is still looking for something to get into. The duo isn’t slated to hit the stage, but the night will feature performances from the likes of Niles Miller, Kids Like Us, 7Tre, Bobby Raps, Fre5h AiR & DJ Low; so you already know the music’s going to be bumpin. The event will also hold a costume contest with prizes for Most Original Costume, Sexiest Costume & Scariest Costume to go with some pretty good drink specials. Cover is only $5 and this one’s 21+ so it should be a good time, if you’re still looking for that last minute thing to do; look no further.
A couple days ago South Side crew The Cannaholics dropped their 2nd mixtape for all of our listening pleasure and here it is. The tape features 13 solid tracks with features from the likes of Miss Jean, Create, Adrian Jackson & Mike The Martyr while also receiving a heavy dose of production from the kid JayLap himself. The Cannaholics have been on our radar for quite some time now and word around town is that they put on a good show at Minneapalooza despite the rainy conditions. This weekend the 10th annual Minneapalooza music festival will be going down outside Minneapolis’ own Red Sea. The show’s lineup is chalk full of dope local talent and will feature God Johnson, Mayda, International Reggae All-Stars, The Cannaholics, Bobby Raps of Audio Perm and our homies Glow Mechanics just to name a few. The show is all ages and will be held outdoors so come prepared for the elements, if you don’t have anything better to do this Saturday you should definitely get down to the Red Sea and enjoy some dope music.
Niles Miller and J Lap (Cannaholics) have made it clear via Twitter that they will join forces on a new track entitled “No Regrets”. The track is set to release next Friday, July 12th; this will be a glimpse into Niles’ new project “Bright Future” that is due out later this summer.
