Hymie’s Record Store Day Block Party

That’s right, the weather is getting nice and everyone’s just about ready to start taking advantage of these sunny days. Record Store Day marks the official beginning of Minneapolis’ block party season, year by year Hymie’s brings in spring on a high note. This time around the event will start early with a deep lineup consisting of local favorites, some of which include: Charlie Parr, The Blind Shake, and Black Market Brass to name a few. There will be 2 stages, food trucks and fun stuff to check out for all ages. This one is FREE, make sure to stop by if you’re looking for something to do.

Next Wednesday marks the day before Thanksgiving, if you didn’t know, it is easily one of the wildest nights of the year. The Nomad World Pub is definitely the place to be if you’re looking to get your bogey on. Not only will Black Market Brass headline the night, the Worldwide Discotheque DJs will also be on hand providing countless jams. One of the dopest dance parties on it’s own, this one might be the best of the year. This event is 21+ and the door will be $10, click the link below for more info.

Memory Lanes 10th Year Anniversary Party!


Location: 2520 26th Avenue S, Minneapolis
When: Fri-Sat: October 9th-10th @ 8PM

The good people over at Memory Lanes will be celebrating their 10th anniversary this weekend at their location in Minneapolis’ Seward neighborhood. The party will run 2 nights with Friday’s performances including Nato Coles & The Black Diamond Band, Black Market Brass, and DJ FooLProoF; while Saturday’s lineup consists of Mango Jam, Frog Leg, and Morningside Blues Band. Live music, lots of food and of course bowling, they will also have $10 pitchers on hand for those who come thirsty. This event is 21+ and there is NO COVER, make sure to stop by at some point this weekend because it’s sure to be a good time.

Pizza Luce has announced the lineup for their upcoming block party and it’s looking pretty stacked. This year they’ve delved a little deeper into the hip hop scene with majority of the acts belonging to the genre. At this year’s event there will be live performances from GRRRL PRTY, Carnage The Executioner, Heiruspecs, deM atlaS and Black Market Brass to name a few. The block party will return to it’s 4th street location downtown to the chagrin of many party goers. Tonight, First Avenue will host Funk on First. The event will feature some of the city’s best with performances from New Sound Underground, Black Market Brass, PHO and Grolar Bears. If you like live funk as much as we do, you’ll definitely be in attendance for this one. The show is 18+ and tickets are on sale now for $10. Black Market Brass LIVE @ Triple Rock w/ New Sound Underground

The Black Market Brass band will be hitting the stage at Triple Rock tonight. The smooth, jazzy sounds will be accompanied by New Sound Underground and Pho rounding out what should be an awesome night of live music. The event is 18+ and you’ll be able to get in at the door for $8, if you’re going to be near the West Bank; this should be an awesome time.
