New Trailer Available For ‘2oolander’ In Theaters February 2016

Reactions by fans to the news that there would be a second Zoolander was pretty mixed, although it didn’t necessarily come with any real surprise considering Hollywood insists on banking on 20-year-old franchises these days. Nevertheless the rumors were true and production has been underway for sometime now, with the upcoming release for Zoolander 2 scheduled for February 12, 2016. Ben Stiller (Meet the Parents, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story) and Owen Wilson (Wedding Crashers, Midnight in Paris) are reprising their roles as fashion models Derek and Hansel, whose careers are now threatened by a new company attempting to put them out of business. New Thriller From M. Night Shyamalan ‘The Visit’ Now Playing In Theaters

It seems like we’ve gone a long time without seeing a scary movie from M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs) open on the big screens, but a new thriller from the iconic writer/director is opening in theaters across the country today. This will be his first feature film since 2013’s After Earth; he most recently served as executive producer for the television series Wayward Pines, after writing a couple of episodes for After Hours. He also has an undisclosed project that is still in the early production stages. The new release is titled The Visit and follows two siblings on a visit to see their grandparents, but things turn very strange and the trip proves to be everything but an ordinary trip to grandma’s house. Leading the cast as the two kids are Olivia DeJonge (The Sisterhood of Night, Polarized) and Ed Oxenbould (Paper Planes, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day), with actors Deanna Dunagan (Running Scared, Dimension), Peter McRobbie (Spider-Man 2, Lincoln), and Kathryn Hahn (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Step Brothers) making up the supporting cast. Shyamalan screened the movie at ComicCon in San Diego and received positive reviews from audiences there, who report a really crazy twist in pure M. Night Shyamalan style. I’ll just say it’s about time. The trailer is featured above. Enjoy the weekend!

Comedy Director Adam McKay Filling In Cast For Upcoming Drama ‘The Big Short’

Director Adam McKay on the set of Anchorman 2: The Legend of Ron Burgandy.

Director Adam McKay is more popularly known for his work on films like Anchorman, Talladega Nights, and Step-Brothers, and fans will see more of his comedic approach in the upcoming comic-adaptation of Ant-Man with Paul Rudd in the title role, but the director has more on his upcoming schedule than just a couple of outlandish comedies. This week it was announced that actors Christian Bale (The Dark Knight, Exodus: Gods and Kings), Ryan Gosling (Drive, The Ides of March), Brad Pitt (Fight Club, Ocean’s Eleven), and McKay-movie regular Steve Carell (Little Miss Sunshine, Anchorman) will be taking roles in McKay’s upcoming financial drama The Big Short. The film comes from an adaptation of the book by author Michael Lewis, which follows the collapse of the financial industry in relation to the real-estate markets and unregulated stock and bond trades. Lewis is also the author of Moneyball, which was adapted for the big screen back in 2011 by director Bennett Miller (The Cruise, Capote) and also starred Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, and Robin Wright. Miller also just paired up with Steve Carell in 2014 for the biographical-drama Foxcatcher, which now has three Golden Globe nominations for Best Picture, Best Actor (Carell) and Best Supporting Actor (Mark Ruffalo). Seeing as the remainder of the supporting cast for The Big Short has yet to be filled and the project has no official release date, it may be a while before we see it in theaters, but we’ll keep an eye out for more news.

New Teaser Trailer For ‘Ant-Man’ With Paul Rudd Now Available

Marvel’s upcoming film-adaptation of Ant-Man is scheduled to open in theaters this July 17th. Considering the subject matter I can’t honestly say I’m excited about this comic-movie, but fans of the series may enjoy the big-screen adventure from comedic-drama director Peyton Reed (The Break-Up, Yes Man) and comedy screenwriters Adam McKay (Step-Brothers, The Other Guys) and Paul Rudd (Anchorman, Knocked Up). Rudd also leads the cast as Scott Lang (Ant-Man), which also features Evangeline Lilly (Lost, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug), Hayley Atwell (The Duchess, Captain America: The First Avenger), Judy Greer (Love & Other Drugs, Jurassic World), and Michael Douglas (Romancing The Stone, Wall Street). As I said before I’m not particularly thrilled about this one coming out, but at least McKay and Rudd play into the ridiculous title of this comic character. The plot follows con-man Scott Lang as he uses a specialized suit that can grow and shrink in size in order to pull off a heist that will save the world from self-destruction. Check out the new teaser trailer here on MADE; we should see a more full-length trailer come out closer to the summer-time, so stay tuned.
