A few weeks back they dropped the video for “Violet” and now they’ve got another one for the title track “South.” 2015 has been a big year for these guys and they continue to make the Twin Cities proud. Check out the video for “South” above and make sure to peep the video for “Violet” below.

About a week ago we received a track from Natural, a Saint Paul based producer whose music we’ve posted in the past. His latest track “Delirium” features their chaotic instrumentation under lofty, floating vocals. Featuring Gem Nyall and Austy Spimonte, the record is very dynamic from start to finish with multiple sections that feel different than the previous. An immersive track to just zone out and vibe to, check out “Delirium” above and keep an eye out for more from Natural.
This past Saturday, the Minneapolis’ Totally Gross National Product held an outdoor concert series at Icehouse. The lineup featured: Lizzo, Jason Feathers, Psymun, Stolyette,Poliça, and many more (visit the link above for full lineup). The event featured some very talented performers, and it showed. While we were only able to make it for the last half of the lineup, every artist put it down for the city. Flip through some of the events highlights and continue to stay locked for more local recaps to come!
Comonada Records will be holding their final residency at Icehouse next Tuesday. The 3 month series has featured the likes of Beasthead, StoLyette, Tired Tongues and Sloslylove among others; while tonight’s will feature AATS, CSL and Fort Wilson Riot. This past Friday, we stopped into Icehouse to see Pornonono’s CD release show for YES. With opening performances by BOYF and Zibra Zibra – the night was set up for one entertaining evening. As Minneapolis continues to push into summer mode, expect to see a lot more from these guys moving forward. With a hell of a show performed at one of Minneapolis’s finer venues, Pornonono is carrying quite a bit of momentum leading into the busiest season ahead. Make sure to stay tuned for more recaps to come!
Last week we received a record from up and comers Fort Wilson Riot. Titled “Tryin'”, the record’s grooving bass line and 80s-esque feel are right on time for the approaching summer. The track’s instrumentation is all the way on point and the vocal’s have been mixed damn near perfectly. Definitely something to cruise the lakes to or hit the beach with as the summer heats up. Fort Wilson Riot will be awfully busy in the upcoming months, you can catch them live at Icehouse this Sunday (19th) alongside Suzie, AATS and Umami. Check out “Tryin'” above and make sure to keep an eye out for more from Fort Wilson Riot.

A couple of days ago, AATS dropped a new remix EP titled, Cloak & Dagger. The project features the standard version of the record with 6 remixes, all of which have their own unique sound. Upon opening the e-mail we didn’t really know what to expect, but we have to say that this is the first time we’ve enjoyed listening to the same song 7 times. AATS will be live at the Kitty Cat Klub this Saturday for those looking to catch him live.
