Quentin Tarantino has been known to take the occasional cameo in his movies. He was Jimmy in Pulp Fiction, Mr. Brown in Reservoir Dogs, and he even blew himself up in Django Unchained! But now Tarantino will be taking on a full acting gig as movie producer Roger Corman in an upcoming biopic. Set to be directed by Joe Dante (Gremlins, Small Soldiers), the film will explore Corman’s work and career on films such as House of Usher (1960), The Terror (1963), and Death Race 2000 (1975). Corman will also be making an appearance in the film as one of the early producers who didn’t want him to make a film called The Trip about the LSD craze of the 1960s. Although this will be Tarantino’s first time taking on a lead role, he has always done a pretty decent job with the small parts. I definitely think this is a challenge he’ll rise to with ease. As a writer and director, he already has a nag for character development, so it’s just a matter of applying himself.
