Anyone who was a fan of the original 90s TV series will remember the Power Rangers and their struggle to protect Earth from Rita and Zedd on their moon-based fortress. Fans of the show will also remember Might Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, which came out in 1995 and featured the teenage heros in a big screen showdown with new villain Ivan Ooze. Now a new movie-adaptation from screenwriters Zack Stentz and Ashley Miller is in the works and is scheduled to hit theaters on July 22, 2016. The two writers will adapt the script from a story by Robert Orci (Star Trek), but at this point there is not a director attached to the project and we have no idea who will be cast to revive the Rangers for this new generation of movie-goers.
