Warner Bros. Pictures has announced that their 8-year partnership with Legendary Entertainment has ended. Legendary, who provided finance to major Warner Bros. projects such as The Dark Knight and The Hangover, has entered into a new 5-year partnership with Universal Pictures. Warner Bros. is now in talks with Dune Entertainment as a potential financier of the companies films for the next several years, as well as Village Roadshow, who has already been partnered with Warner for the last 15 years. Legendary will now be looking to act, not only as financier to Universal films, but also as its own film production company. This transition comes in time for Universal’s upcoming 2014 projects, including Fast and Furious 7.
