‘Jurassic World’ Sequel Planned For 2018 Release

Yesterday Universal pictures announced that a sequel to their latest record-breaking hit Jurassic World is being planned for release on June 22nd, 2018. The new film will once again have original Jurassic Park director Steven Spielberg back as an executive producer, serving alongside World executive producer and director Colin Trevorrow (Reality Show, Safety Not Guaranteed). Trevorrow will also come back to write the new script with Jurassic World writer Derek Connolly (Safety Not Guaranteed, Monster Trucks), but there is no confirmed word on whether or not he will be directing again. Actors Chris Pratt (Parks & Recreation, Guardians of the Galaxy) and Bryce Dallas Howard (Lady in the Water, The Help) will be back for the new film, but no other actors from World have thus far been confirmed to be coming back.
