Hugh Jackman Gets Serious In Prisoners

It’s sometimes hard to imagine, and even at times strange to see Hugh Jackman in anything that doesn’t concern empowered mutants and Adamantium claws. Nevertheless, Jackman has proved time and again that he is an adaptive and talented actor, taking on unique and challenging roles in such films as Swordfish (2001), The Prestige (2006), and Les Miserables (2012), the latter earning him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. Jackman’s next project is another movie on the more serious side of life. Jackman plays a father who decides to do his own investigating when his daughter and her friend end up missing and the police don’t seem to be making any progress on the matter. The film features Jackman in the lead role, as well as Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Dano, and Maria Bello in the supporting cast. You can watch the trailer right here on MADE. The movie comes out in theaters September 20th.
