Christoph Waltz has stolen the screen with his last two collaborations with director Quentin Tarantino. His roles in Inglorious Bastards (2009) and Django Unchained (2012) earned him the Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor in both films. Now the actor is in talks with Warner Bros. to take the villain role in the upcoming Tarzan adaptation from director David Yates (Harry Potter). The film had originally been scratched due to budget issues, but with Waltz as a potential villain and Alexander Skarsgard on board to play Tarzan, the film may end up happening! Although there is no one on board to play Jane, the plot may revolve around a civilized Tarzan returning to the Congo on a mission to save the jungle from a mine owner, who Waltz is most likely set to play as the character is also a warlord. The project has yet to get an official green-light, and because it had originally been scratched, it’s unclear whether or not David Yates is still connected with the film, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
