Nazeem & Spencer Joles are heating up right now coming off their recent Soundset 2017 announcement. That’s right, the south side kids made the cut this year and also appear to be working on a new EP. Dubbed Years of Obscurity, the first offering from the project comes in the form of a new video titled “Lake St.”. The fight club-esque visual completes the songs gritty aesthetic, we could definitely get used to the kid Liban starring in videos. Chill with a splash of tension underneath the surface, “Lake St.” actually does a good job capturing the feeling of the real street. Check out the video above and be on the look out for more from Nazeem & Spencer Joles.

Bobby Raps has been heating up as of late, the Twin Cities artist took to Worldstar HipHop yesterday to premiere the video for his latest track “Purgatory.” Directed by Stephen Maturen, the visual compliments the song very well. Dark and gritty, Bobby gets personal on this record exploring his inner depths; a powerful practice of introspection. RP Hooks has always had some of the more artistic visuals in the Twin Cities, his most recent release, “Pac Talk,” continues that trend. Directed by Alan de Leon Taverna, the visual takes on a dark tone that matches the record perfectly. Minimalist, the video does a good job of providing a cinematic feel. Hooks’ abrasive style sounds rebellious in a world where tension is mounting, short but sweet; this track definitely sets the tone. Check out the video for “Pac Talk” above and keep an eye out for more from RP Hooks.
