With the release of his new project, mark, around the corner, Bobby Raps has dropped yet another track. Titled “Had 2,” the self produced banger sees Bobby in his more conventional style rapping bar after bar over the trap heavy beat. Although many people dispute the lyrical substance of “trap” rap, Bobby shows on “Had 2” that you can indeed spit fire bars over trap production. Lil Bae provides a short verse towards the end, rounding out another solid release, check out “Had 2” below.
Allan Kingdom took to Twitter last week to announce the release of a new music video, as well as the release of a new project dubbed Lines. Directed by Cole Bennett of Chicago based Lyrical Lemonade, the colorful visual fits the record well. The green screen approach isn’t always effective, but Bennett does a good job of keeping things fresh. Allan’s versatility shines bright, his prowess with auto-tune has translated into songs with a lot of depth. This one could easily hit air-waves just in time for the summer. Check out the video for “Know About It” above and keep an eye out for Lines April 7th.
