The good people over at VICE have been churning out nothing but goodness as of late, among their many new ventures they’ve started a new series called “Streets By VICE.” The new series focuses on one specific street that embodies a particular city, the first one being Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. The historic avenue weaves through a large variety of the borough’s many eclectic neighborhoods, along the way Krishna stops to talk to people who help define the area. Check out the video above and keep an eye out for the next one.
As VICE officially kicks off their new network, VICELAND, Action Bronson is busy continuing his “Fuck That’s Delicious” series. Last week Bronson made the rounds in NYC seeking truffles, but this time around it’s duck the beard is after. Prepared by Daniel Boulud, the pressed duck looks absolutely amazing, press play and check it out for yourself above.
Greg Grease recently joined Mr. Peter Parker on Go 95.3 to talk about upcoming shows and Minnesota’s current hip hop climate. The south side vet finished 2016 with his Motif ii EP, we wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t have a few more up his sleeve. During the interview Grease speaks on how he got his name and artists he’s listening to outside of Minnesota. Check out the clip above and keep it locked for the next one.
With Vice preparing to launch their new television network, VICELAND, the multi-facted conglomerate has began previewing some of their upcoming programs. Of all the awesomeness that they’ve been teasing lately, Action Bronson’s show, F*ck That’s Delicious, sits near the top of the list for us. Fans of his Vice powered Youtube series will be happy to see that things don’t look like they’ve changed all that much; just good food, good rhymes and world travel with Bronsollinio and crew. Check out the trailer above and keep an eye out for more from VICELAND.
Mr. Peter Parker and Go95.3 have been on fire these first few weeks. The station itself is delivering as promised and to top it off, Parker has been interviewing artists from the scene like a mad man. His latest interview was posted earlier this morning and features the south side’s own Mike The Martyr. Since dropping Ghost Dose late last year Martyr has continued his efforts as a triple threat producing, rapping and DJing all over. Go95.3 is exactly what the Cities needed, big ups Mr. Peter Parker and the crew over there; check out the interview above and stay tuned for more.
Go95.3 has quickly filled the void for hip hop lovers in the Twin Cities, it’s early; but the new station is showing a lot of promise on all fronts. One of our favorite aspects is their interview segments that have been rolling out at a steady rate. Muja Messiah recently joined Mr. Peter Parker in the booth to talk about Minnesota hip hop and what’s needed to expand the culture. Like Muja says, the fact that we now have a hip hop station investing in our artists means the world to the scene. Check out the quick interview above and stay tuned for more.
