Viceland recently released the second episode of their Noisey series, this installment took a closer look at Atlanta’s ever-rising hip hop scene. Once one of the city’s best kept secrets, photographer Cam Kirk has seen great success over the last few years photographing/documenting some of Atlanta’s most prominent artists. Vice coupled the release of their Atlanta episode with a chat with Cam, check out the video above and keep an eye out for more.
The Chicken Connoisseur is back with episode 2 of The Pengest Munch. This time around he makes the trek to Eden’s Cottage in London’s Finsbury Park district. The episode starts with the infamous “crep check,” before launching into hilarity once again. This kid is really keen on fried chicken, we especially like his continuous banter with the camera man. If you haven’t seen this kids face around social media yet, we’ll be the first to show you an internet gem. Dubbed “The Pengest Munch,” British slang for “Sexiest/Hottest Munch,” 23 yr old (he really is) Elijah Quashie has built quite the following reviewing chicken restaurants throughout Britain. In episode 1, the Chicken Connoisseur hits up Taste of Tennessee on Old Street in London. A good starting point, hilarity ensues. Peep the video above and be on the look out for episode 2.
The boys from VICELAND and Thrasher are finally ready to roll out King of The Road 2015. This year’s contest will feature Birdhouse, Toy Machine, and Chocolate; 3 well equipped teams who each have pretty storied histories. In episode 1, King of The Road’s creator Michael Burnett, gives a little history lesson while reminiscing on previous years. The homie Finding Novyon appeared on Go 95.3’s GoLocal show last week for a quick interview with Mr. Peter Parker. 2015 is a big year for Novyon, he has already racked up a few notable slots including Soundset 2016 and Revelry Music Festival among others. The good people over at VICE have been churning out nothing but goodness as of late, among their many new ventures they’ve started a new series called “Streets By VICE.” The new series focuses on one specific street that embodies a particular city, the first one being Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. The historic avenue weaves through a large variety of the borough’s many eclectic neighborhoods, along the way Krishna stops to talk to people who help define the area. As VICE officially kicks off their new network, VICELAND, Action Bronson is busy continuing his “Fuck That’s Delicious” series. Last week Bronson made the rounds in NYC seeking truffles, but this time around it’s duck the beard is after. The south side vet finished 2016 with his Motif ii EP, we wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t have a few more up his sleeve. With Vice preparing to launch their new television network, VICELAND, the multi-facted conglomerate has began previewing some of their upcoming programs. Of all the awesomeness that they’ve been teasing lately, Action Bronson’s show, F*ck That’s Delicious, sits near the top of the list for us. Fans of his Vice powered Youtube series will be happy to see that things don’t look like they’ve changed all that much; just good food, good rhymes and world travel with Bronsollinio and crew.
