Chicago’s own Vic Mensa appeared on the Breakfast Club today to talk about the release of his new album, The Autobiography. The budding artist has definitely had some trials and tribulations along his journey to becoming a certified star, he opens up about some of the things that he’s gone through since his move to L.A. Lizzo continues to rise through the ranks of stardom, her music, attitude and work ethic will surely get her to where she wants to be.
The Bodega Boys are currently enjoying the most successful year of their lives. From the Red Bull studios to the VICE offices, these guys are now the faces of arguably the funniest show on late night television. Tyler The Creator’s album, Cherry Bomb, was yet another signal that the young artist is indeed one of hip hop’s most creative and dynamic. Whether it’s music, fashion, acting, or directing, Tyler has certainly established himself across a variety of mediums. His latest work comes in collaboration with Mikey123xyz, a California based clothing designer and director. Mikey documented Tyler during the process of finalizing Cherry Bomb and the road to it’s release. An interesting behind the scenes look, you can view the documentary in it’s entirety above.

Sway will bring his “Sway In The Morning” radio show to Minneapolis for Rhymesayers’ Soundset Music Festival. This year the live broadcast will be held at Icehouse, a solid venue for this year’s Friday Fire Rap Cypher. The show is open to the public and serves as the official kick off for Soundset weekend.
Viceland recently released the second episode of their Noisey series, this installment took a closer look at Atlanta’s ever-rising hip hop scene. Once one of the city’s best kept secrets, photographer Cam Kirk has seen great success over the last few years photographing/documenting some of Atlanta’s most prominent artists. The Chicken Connoisseur is back with episode 2 of The Pengest Munch. This time around he makes the trek to Eden’s Cottage in London’s Finsbury Park district. The episode starts with the infamous “crep check,” before launching into hilarity once again. This kid is really keen on fried chicken, we especially like his continuous banter with the camera man. Dubbed “The Pengest Munch,” British slang for “Sexiest/Hottest Munch,” 23 yr old (he really is) Elijah Quashie has built quite the following reviewing chicken restaurants throughout Britain.
