Busy Schedule for Director J.J. Abrams

As you probably already know, Disney has acquired the rights to the Star Wars movies in a recent deal with George Lucas, and now already has a seventh Star Wars movie in the works that follows Episode 6: Return of the Jedi (1983). All of the original cast (Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher) have expressed serious interest in returning to the franchise which is set to be directed by Star Trek director J.J. Abrams. Abrams already has an impressive resume under his belt that includes producing and directing credits for films like Mission Impossible 3 (2006) and Armageddon (1998) and is already prepping for a third Star Trek and possible a fifth Mission Impossible. Star Trek fans have recently expressed concern that the director will not be able to do both Star Wars and the next Star Trek movie, but if anyone in Hollywood really values the work Abrams has done they’ll make it work.
