Minneapolis isn’t very well known for it’s fish & chips scene, but one place on the northeast side is beginning to change all of that. Located in northeast’s Arts District, Anchor Fish & Chips is arguably the best restaurant for the dish in the metro. Although they are primarily known for the English classic, they also serve a variety of other English staples like sausages, pot pies, and fish sandwiches. Crispy, foot long pieces of cod get served smoking hot with a stack of domino sized chips on the side, pure heaven. The food is so damn good that you’ll want to go on off days or early to avoid the dinner rush, the restaurant isn’t that big so wait lines can easily exceed 45 minutes. No worries, if you get stuck with a long wait you can always walk the block to Dangerous Man Brewing Company for a quick beer. If you can’t make it to the brick and mortar establishment, hit them up on Twitter to find out where their food truck will be located throughout the week.
