2017 Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe Awards Coming Soon

Now that the new year has arrived, it’s time to start looking forward to the film awards season. The Screen Actors Guild nominations for 2017 were announced in mid-December, along with this year’s Golden Globe nominations. Favorites among the many nominees include writer/director Damien Chazelle’s La La Land, Kenneth Lonergan’s Manchester by the Sea, Denzel Washington’s Fences, and Theodore Melfi’s Hidden Figures, all which are currently showing in theaters. Other big contenders for this year include Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge, Hell or High Water, Jackie with Natalie Portman, and Lion from director Garth Davis. If you haven’t had a chance to see any of these features, be sure to check them out while they are still available on the big screen.
