The Chicken Connoisseur is back with episode 2 of The Pengest Munch. This time around he makes the trek to Eden’s Cottage in London’s Finsbury Park district. The episode starts with the infamous “crep check,” before launching into hilarity once again. This kid is really keen on fried chicken, we especially like his continuous banter with the camera man. Check out the video above for yourself and keep an eye out for episode 3.
The New Year is practically here, and if you’re looking for a way to fill in some extra time off work, why not see a good movie or two? This week there is a plethora of big releases, most of which have already been released in select cities and are seeing additional expansions. Here are some notables to check out…
Ben Affleck’s new Prohibition-era gangster drama is now playing, but initial reviews and audience reactions have not been good. Personally I’m not a big Ben Affleck fan, but the rest of the supporting cast, including Elle Fanning and Brendan Gleason. That said, Casey Affleck and Michelle Williams both star in a new movie called Manchester by the Sea from writer/director Kenneth Lonergan, so maybe see that one instead. Continue reading
The German city of Hamburg is about to unveil what might be the world’s most impressive concert hall. Named after the city in which it now stands as the tallest building, the concert hall was designed and constructed by Swiss firm Herzog & de Meuron. 7 years overdue and $731 Million over budget, but it’s finally complete. Check out some amazing drone footage below and keep an eye out for more.
Having just completed his latest project, Silence, Martin Scorsese is getting back to work on his next, highly anticipated project that will reunite him with Leonardo DiCaprio. The Oscar-winner purchased the rights to Erik Larson’s book The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America back in 2010. Due to scheduling issues between the two film veterans, however, production has been delayed. Now that Silence is finished, Scorsese is ready to get production on this new film underway. As of now, a script is still in the works, but may require more extensive work and research. Continue reading

Tucked in the corner on one of Dinkytown’s busiest intersections, above the Kitty Kat Klub; lies one of Minneapolis’ best burger spots. At night the old school signs reading “Annie’s” in bright lights can’t be missed. Up the stairs and through the old parlor door, Annie’s interior looks as if it has never seen a makeover (in a good way). They have a decent variety of sandwiches, including a pretty good BLT; but everyone knows the burgers are the only way to go. No frills, no special sauces; just straight up hand/homemade burgers with lots and lots of cheese. Annie’s is a true parlor, they serve some of the city’s best malts and milkshakes to accompany any of the tasty burgers you decide to try. Overall this place is definitely the best spot for a classic “no nonsense” burger, the price is right and the service is fast; if you’re ever on campus make sure to stop in for a bite. You won’t regret it.
We don’t usually delve inTO the upper echelons of the hip hop world, but when it comes to showing love to one of our favorite Minnesota bred artists, anything can happen. If you didn’t already know, Adam DeGross has been shooting with A$AP Ferg for quite some time now, it appears their time on the road has expanded into a video for Ferg’s track “Uzi Gang.” Shot during an actual hardcore/hip hop show, the energy can be felt through the screen. Marty Baller & Lil Uzi are featured on the record as well as a cameo from the homie Tony South. Check out the video above and keep an eye out for more from Adam Degross.
If you haven’t seen this kids face around social media yet, we’ll be the first to show you an internet gem. Dubbed “The Pengest Munch,” British slang for “Sexiest/Hottest Munch,” 23 yr old (he really is) Elijah Quashie has built quite the following reviewing chicken restaurants throughout Britain. In episode 1, the Chicken Connoisseur hits up Taste of Tennessee on Old Street in London. A good starting point, hilarity ensues. Peep the video above and be on the look out for episode 2.
Like last Christmas, and likely the next four, five, six, or even seven still to come, Star Wars fandom is again dominating the box office. The first Star Wars prequel, Rogue One, opened in theaters worldwide this weekend, earning an impressive $290.5 million in box office ticket sales. Disney, who now owns the Star Wars franchise, initially predicted a $120-150 million take for the North American market, which ended up at $155 million. The worldwide box office haul does exclude China, which won’t see Rogue One in theaters until after the New Year. China, incidentally, is the second-largest market in movie ticket sales, so the grand total will likely reach into the $300 million range with ease. As impressive as the opening weekend was, Rogue One failed to break the box-office record set by last year’s Star Wars Episode 7 – The Force Awakens, which took home $248 million in its opening weekend. Still, the success of Rogue One demonstrates the potential for future Star Wars spinoffs Disney has, and will likely soon have in the making. Fans are already looking forward to next year’s Star Wars Episode 8, and a Han Solo origins story is still in the works for 2018. Needless to say, Star Wars fans will be getting their fix for years to come if Disney keeps up at this rate. And with $290 million world box office hauls, why wouldn’t they make more? The trailer for Rogue One is available here on MADE. If you get a chance, be sure to see it on the big screen this holiday season. Enjoy!
